A stunning scene unfolded in Kranji on February 19, as firefighters battled a substantial blaze engulfing a local recycling warehouse. At around 10:30 AM, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) rushed to respond, utilizing six water jets and an unmanned firefighting vehicle to tackle the inferno that sent plumes of thick, dark smoke billowing into the sky.

Regrettably, the fire resulted in one individual being hospitalized due to burn injuries and smoke inhalation. Though the warehouse was pivotal for waste management, this particular incident wasn't the first time Kranji witnessed such fiery chaos; in fact, it marked the third reported fire incident at this recycling center. Authorities advised the public to steer clear of the area, owing to the ongoing firefighting efforts and the unstable condition of the structure.

As the SCDF worked tirelessly to bring the blaze under control, the incident raised awareness about the potential hazards linked with recycling and waste management facilities.
