In the latest Certificate of Entitlement (COE) bidding exercise in June 2024, Singapore witnessed a surprising turn of events as COE premiums for Categories A and B experienced a significant rebound. Category A cars, which include vehicles with engine capacities of 1,600cc and below and horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, saw premiums closing at S$90,889 (US$67,200) in the recent bidding, marking a sharp increase from the previous bidding round. Similarly, Category B cars also saw a spike in COE prices, with premiums closing at S$102,334.
