Nation in Frenzy as PADU System Experiences Online Crash Before Deadline

Central Database Hub - Data updating - Government subsidies - Malaysian statistics - Padu system

National rush to register causes temporary shutdown of PADU system just hours before the deadline. Malaysians seize the opportunity to update their data amidst the chaos.

The Central Database Hub (PADU) witnessed a nationwide rush as Malaysians frantically tried to register and update their information before the looming deadline. The system faced an unexpected online crash with login issues due to the overwhelming volume of users. Despite the temporary shutdown, people from all corners of the country seized the opportunity to ensure their data was up to date in the PADU system. In Kota Kinabalu, Sabahans were seen thronging the Urban Transformation Centre counters, aiming to beat the registration deadline. Chief Statistician Mohd Uzir Mahidin emphasized the importance of complete information for analysis, revealing that about 10.6 million Malaysians had already updated their data on PADU.

As the registration deadline approached, the PADU system struggled to handle the massive influx of users, leading to a chaotic online crash. However, amidst the frenzy, a significant milestone was achieved with 10.8 million Malaysians successfully registering on PADU, reaching 50% of the target goal. The Chief Statistician highlighted the necessity of updating information to avoid automatic registration of basic data. The enthusiasm shown by citizens nationwide to comply with the registration requirements indicates a positive response towards data accuracy and analysis.
