Big changes are coming to public transport! Find out why NETS FlashPay and old EZ-Link cards are saying goodbye. #SimplyGo #PublicTransport
In a bid to modernize and streamline the public transport payment system in Singapore, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) is phasing out the use of old EZ-Link adult cards and NETS FlashPay cards. Commencing from June 1, non-concession adult commuters will no longer be able to use these outdated cards to pay for public transport fares. Instead, the transition to SimplyGo, a more convenient contactless payment method, is on the horizon.
As part of the transition, commuters are encouraged to exchange their NETS FlashPay cards for NETS Prepaid Cards at any of the 44 SimplyGo Ticket Offices. The move aims to enhance the efficiency and ease of payment for public transport users, aligning with the technological advancements in the transportation sector.
With the legacy card-based ticketing system for adult commuters approaching the end of its operational lifespan, the shift towards SimplyGo marks a significant step towards a more seamless and modern commuting experience. This transition not only simplifies the payment process but also ensures a smoother and more efficient journey for all commuters.
As the deadline for the upgrade of non-concession adult cards looms closer, it is vital for commuters to make the switch to SimplyGo to avoid any disruptions in their daily commute. Embracing this new payment system will not only benefit individuals in their daily travels but also contribute to the overall enhancement of the public transport network in Singapore.
