In the Open category, which can be used for any types of vehicle except motorcycles, premiums went up by 2.56 per cent to S$118,990 from S$116,020. Category A (Cars up to 1600cc & 97kW or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW): S$96,501 (up from S$93,503) Premiums for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW went up by 3.21 per cent to S$96,501, from the previous record high of S$93,503 in the previous exercise.

It resulted in an increase in total COE supply from 9,128 in the previous quarter to 9,437 for the February to April 2023 period. A new calculation method announced on January 20 by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) was implemented during the February 2023 COE bidding exercise. Similarly, prices rose to a new all-time high of S$118,501 for category B, or cars over 1,600 cc and 130 hp, as well as electric vehicles over 110 kW.
In the 1st COE bidding exercise for April 2023, Cat A closed at $96501, Cat B at $118501, Cat C at $76801, Cat D at $12001, and Cat E at $118990.
