90’ - WHAT A GOAL WHAT A GOAL WHAT A GOAL! The ensuing corner picks out Keane at the back post, and his downward header is saved easily enough/ Spurs, meanwhile, are sitting back, which I makes some sense as Everton don't know how to score, but at the same time, it means they can't really exploit their man advantage. Given time on the ball, Keane, 30 yards out, advances and tees himself up - there's no pressure, but still - then flings every fibre of his being into screeching, howling, outswinging animal that roars into the top corner! But Lloris sees it late, so though it's straight at him, his late flicking it over the bar. I can't see them losing enough home games not to get enough points though.

Tottenham couldn’t take advantage of its extra man, with Everton finishing the stronger — perhaps harboring a perceived sense of injustice — especially when the visitor was reduced to 10 men when substitute Lucas Moura was also shown a straight red card for a studs-first lunge on Keane’s ankle in the 89th. Harry Kane put Tottenham ahead at Goodison Park, converting a penalty in the 68th for his 22nd goal of the season after a foul by Michael Keane on Cristian Romero. Michael Keane made amends for giving away a penalty by scoring off a long-range thunderbolt in the 90th minute to earn Everton a 1-1 draw with Tottenham in a feisty English Premier League game that saw both teams finish with 10 men on Monday.

Late Keane Screamer Seals Everton Draw (Everton Football)

Last time out at Chelsea it was a late, late leveller from Ellis Simms. Back at the Grand Old Lady, it was the sweetest of strikes from Michael Keane as an ...

Collecting the ball from 25 yards out, Keane looked up and unleashed a quite stunning strike that curled past Lloris into the top right-hand corner to send Goodison wild. Kane pushed Gray over close to the dugouts and, as the referee blew for a free-kick, followed that up with a meaty challenge on Doucoure which the midfielder took exception to. From the resulting corner, Keane headed down into the arms of Lloris from four yards out. The South Korean was eventually flagged for offside but England’s number one was still given a rousing reception around Goodison for his efforts. Next up, Iwobi showed sweet skill to drift past Clement Lenglet but couldn’t find a teammate from the right byline. The forward followed up with a trademark cut back inside but could only bend his finish over the bar.

Tottenham missed the chance to move into third place in the Premier League table after being held to a 1-1 draw at Everton.

The Everton defender then stunned the visitors with a brilliant strike in the 90th minute to rescue a precious point for the Toffees. THE MVP: Everton looked doomed at 1-0 and one man down but managed to salvage a point thanks to a moment of magic from Keane. Two minutes later his victim had found the top corner and it was 1-1.

10-man Everton strike late to hold Tottenham (FRANCE 24)

Harry Kane's penalty looked set to take Tottenham third in the table after Abdoulaye Doucoure had been sent off for striking the Spurs striker in the face. But ...

Tottenham failed to make the man advantage count for much of the closing stages as they invited Everton on in search of an equaliser even before Lucas also saw red for a rash challenge on Keane. A moment of madness from Doucoure appeared to have undone the endeavour of Dyche's men for the first hour. The home outfit did waste a glorious chance to take the lead when Idrissa Gueye selfishly blazed over from the edge of the box with teammates better placed to take the shot just after half-time.

Everton must find a way to operate without Doucoure during key run ... (The Athletic)

The midfielder was key to Everton's improvement under their new manager - Spurs red card means Dyche must work out how best to replace him.

[still learning the intricacies of forward play at Premier League level](https://theathletic.com/4335570/2023/03/23/ellis-simms-everton-first-goal-dyche/). Maupay tends to press well but has been wasteful in front of goal and at 5ft 8in (173cm) is ineffective under the high ball. Whether Dyche will run the risk of making what is in effect three changes, however, remains to be seen. Neither, though, has a similar skill set to Doucoure, or his goal record at [Premier League](https://theathletic.com/football/premier-league/) level. Signed under Lampard for an initial £9.5million ($11.9m), Garner is also well known to Dyche; he was a regular at Nottingham Forest matches, where the 22-year-old was on loan, during his time out of the game at the end of last season. The early signs are positive in that regard, with Gray responding well since he has come back into the side. Despite struggling for fitness early in his time at Goodison following last summer’s move from Manchester United and subsequently spending months on the sidelines with a back problem, Garner has impressed in training. It will frustrate Dyche that he is losing someone so effective on both sides of the ball. In that context, it is no surprise Doucoure has covered the most ground of any Everton player in seven of his nine appearances under Dyche. If the first line of pressure is broken, Doucoure is asked to drop back into midfield and provide cover for At this stage, Doucoure (circled) is ready for a through ball… He is normally the first from midfield to break forward and support the front man but also shifts higher when the opposition play out from the back, becoming Everton’s first line of defence in a 4-4-2 setup when they don’t have the ball.
