While the pop-up shop will certainly generate some buzz (especially in a post-MoonSwatch world), this strategy feels like a direct extension of how Tudor handles most of the brand's non-W&W releases – like the recent Tudor's pop-shop is located in the heart of the city at Place de Longmalle and will be open Monday, March 27 through Saturday, April 1 from 10 a.m. But in today's watch industry where collectors routinely wait months, years, or even lifetimes to get their hands on the products they want, the proposition is positively radical. This technically challenging horological trick provides a front row seat of the display of the sophisticated details of this caliber, with the the bridges and plates coated in anthracite ruthenium to match the color of the case. The Montblanc Unveiled Secret Minerva Monopusher Chronograph Limited Edition is powered by a historic hand-wound Minerva MB M16.29 movement that has been turned upside down to reveal the fascinating mechanical workings from the dial side. Following suit this year, the brand introduced a new execution of this chronograph with column wheel and horizontal clutch presented in a 43mm steel case with a special finishing technique to create an aged appeal.
Vacheron Constantin Presents Its Watches & Wonders Lineup: Featuring the Overseas Moon Phase Retrograde Date, Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date, and more.
Similar to the Overseas Moon Phase Retrograde Date, these new references are paired with either a matching steel bracelet, calfskin leather strap, or a rubber band. The introduction of these new pieces also sees the premiere of new case sizes and silhouettes that caters to the wrists of all genders. Also adding to the Overseas collection, the Maison has debuted four new references constructed of steel and 18-carat 5N pink gold. The Maison’s first sports watch with an integrated retrograde display, the new Overseas Moon Phase timepiece also honors its iconic collection with recognizable features like the size-sided bezel, fluted crown, and translucent lacquered dial. Starring a minimalist design inspired by retrograde displays in the ‘20s and ‘30s, the Patrimony Retrograde Day-Date is a display of equilibrium between traditional watchmaking elegance and modern simplicity. As an addition to the Traditionanelle collection, this tourbillon also demonstrates many defining attributes of the series, from the fluted caseback, railway minute-track, bi-facetted Dauphine hands, slim bezel, baton-type hour-markers, to the stepped round case and lugs.

The latest version is a revamp of the iconic watch with an entirely new 40mm case featuring an angular oversized crown that is easy to manipulate even while wearing flying gloves. [Chanel](https://www.thejewelleryeditor.com/brands/chanel/) is captured in this long sautoir featuring an 18-carat gold button that slides open to reveal a black lacquered dial set with 32 diamonds. The white mother of pearl dial surrounded by diamonds is revealed only when the wearer checks the time. This handcrafted sautoir, the proud heir of a collection of impressive gold cuff watches and sautoirs designed in 1969, is set with Zambian oval emerald cabochons mimicking the shape of the ovoid dial. The new Carrera Date marks this milestone with a revamped silhouette, colourful dials, an upgraded movement and a 36mm gender fluid stainless steel case honouring the original measurement of the iconic watch launched six decades ago. It resembles the art of granulation, in which gold balls soldered onto a gold surface, but on the Perlée collection the effect is cast, so the row of beads is already solidly attached to the surface of the gold and then finished and polished by hand. It tells time with a ring on the outside of the base of the clock, around which a winged figure revolves to mark the time. [Watches and Wonders](https://robbreport.com/tag/watches-and-wonders/) last year, is a new edition of the Planetarium Automoton clock that offers a new combination of materials. Paired to matching calfskin leather straps in blue or black, each is powered by the automatic Calibre Heuer02 movement, is water resistant to 100m, and features a display caseback. The case is made of a mineral composite fiber (MCF that is 99.95 percent silica, made via a sheet molding compound (SMC) process. Set with 196 baguette-cut diamonds (totaling nearly 16 carats) around the bezel and case, the manual-wind timepiece is available in a numbered and limited edition of 12 pieces. They include an hour/minute version—in yellow gold with a brown alligator strap or in platinum with a black alligator strap—that takes its proportions and beveled sapphire crystal from the original, as well as a complicated and skeletonized model that features a 24-hour complication marked by a sun and crescent moon, in either yellow gold or platinum (the latter available with or without diamonds). Dubbed the Octo Roma Striking Papillon Tourbillon and housed in a semi-tactical, very futuristic looking 44 mm Octo case measuring 11.9 mm thick and featuring a sapphire mid-case, its dial looks like something out of a cool science fiction novel. With its completely transparent sapphire dial, mid-case, and back, the watch’s skeletonized movement—the Calibre BVL 206 with 64 hours of power reserve—is on full display. Powered by the manually wound, in-house BVL 206 movement with 64 hours of power reserve and paired with a brown alligator strap with a rose gold folding buckle, this is most certainly not a watch for someone who wants to fly under the radar—rather, it’s a prominent statement piece meant to exhibit every last ounce of Bulgari’s watchmaking savoir faire. Because of the unique properties of the stone, each dial is a one-of-a-kind piece of art. The rose gold movement is entirely hand decorated and boasts 64 hours of power reserve—more than enough to power it through the weekend.

Kicking off Watches and Wonders 2023 in the best way is TAG Heuer. TAG Heuer has launched new versions in its Aquaracer collection, including the Aquaracer Professional 200. Similar to the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph, this tourbillion novelty also has a 'glassbox' effect, which allows you to see a tourbillon through an aperture at 6 o'clock. The Carrera Date is another all-new version of the original Carrera Date watch, which has been launched in celebration of its 60th anniversary. The 44mm watch is powered by the automatic caliber UN0240 Manufacture movement, and has a 72-hour power reserve. If you're a fan of Ulysse Nardin, you'll be happy to know that the brand is celebrating its popular Freak watch, with the new Freak ONE.

RXL titanium, of which the watch is fashioned, is a unique Rolex titanium alloy that can take a polished or satin finish. It’s also wonderfully thin, features the small crown of the 7922, and the snowflake hands, though anachronistic to a model from the 1950s, look killer. Additionally, there’s a new Everose model in one of two dial colors — the black version, available with or without diamond hour markers, is particularly fetching. Of course, there are several of them, but perhaps the most notable is the redesign of the new steel model, complete with a tweaked dial with subtle aesthetic updates and a brand new movement, the Calibre 4131 with Chronergy escapement, Paraflex shock absorbers, and an optimized ball bearing system for the automatic winding. The dial updates are indeed subtle — just light tweaks to the hour markers and totalizer rings — but such is the Rolex way. Currently available in three stainless steel references (black, silver, or aqua dials) and one titanium reference (grey dial), it’s one of the biggest stories of Watches and Wonders, and a tremendous piece of news in a horological climate in which the luxury sports watch has never been more popular. And this enormous bruiser of a watch doesn’t just feature any old tourbillon — which would be impressive enough on its own, mind you — but a bi-axis tourbillon constructed entirely in-house by the brand. Adding to an already pastel-influenced smattering of dials is a bright green dial — one that’s themed around Kermit the Frog. And beyond this impressive movement is super cool housing: a Zaratsu-polished case in titanium measuring 43.2mm with a box-shaped sapphire crystal, a matching bracelet with a three-fold clasp and push-button release, plus a screw-down crown and a sapphire case back. For 2023, Bulgari is showcasing two sides of the Octo coin: new time-and-date models — plus a brand-new chronograph — at more down-to-Earth prices, plus some stupidly complicated models that are likely to make even Octo Finissimo owners blush. For 2022, La Grande Maison has reconfigured the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds — which is arguably as close as one can get today to the original, diminutive, hand-wound 1931 version of the watch — offering versions in stainless steel and pink gold in brand new dial colors. The pink gold version is really the star of the show: Its case has been slimmed down by a full millimeter and now measures just 7.56mm tall.
Bell & Ross expands its family with a trio of GMT, Diver and gold and green novelties at Watches & Wonders 2023.
With its luminous new blue dial, the BR 03-93 GMT Blue proudly declares its identity and personality. Over the years, the Bell & Ross launched several iterations of the GMT timepiece. Bell & Ross marks a new nautical odyssey with the new BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze. It combines perfectly with the bronze case with its warm, smooth reflections working in harmony with the red-tinted shades of bronze. The new BR 05 Green Gold fits in perfectly with the rest of the Bell & Ross BR 05 family with a design inspired by the iconic BR 03, which it revisits in a more refined style. The first ever GMT watch from Bell & Ross was also part of the iconic BR 03 collection. Complying perfectly with all of these demanding specifications, the new BR 03-92 Diver White Bronze is an underwater instrument measurable to Swiss standards. This is the first time the BR 05 is featuring a leather strap. Under water, the indices must still be visible at a distance of 25cm in the dark. Characterised by 18-carat 5N gold, the BR 05 Green Gold creates the illusion of having a gold ingot on the wrist. The addition of the precious, radiant metal pairs impeccably with the luminous dressy green dial. It is also a brand that continues to push the envelope in terms of breaking new ground in horology with its creative use of materials, colours and styles.
While watches with stone dials become en-vogue again and are adopted by more and more brands, others can look back at a history in this field that spans ...
The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Blue Obsidian is priced at $114,000 Given the fact that it is features a perpetual calendar complication and automatic winding, this is quite the achievement. The blue obsidian has some grey tones to it, which makes it a nice balance between being elegant and sportive, precisely the sweet spot Piaget is aiming at with the Polo collection to begin with.
