PETALING JAYA: Death threats to the cast and crew of "Mentega Terbang" are overboard and against the law, says Fahmi Fadzil.

Malaysians must obey the law and not take actions that can damage property or harm lives. On Tuesday (March 14) Bukit Aman recorded the statements of a producer and six actors involved in the movie. "I strongly condemn these threats and actions that have gone over the boundaries of the law.

Despite the film being removed from the streaming platform Viu, actors and directors of Mentega Terbang allegedly had acid and paint splashed on their cars.

Because whether you’re Muslim or Christian, both religions never actually teach violence or hatred. We have the space to disagree on certain matters, but sending death threats and outright damaging people’s properties like this is an absolute disgrace. When people do stuff like this because of religion, it really contradicts what religion actually teaches.
