An executive producer and director on 'The Mandalorian' has teased more “surprises” in the show's third season.

Then he prompts, “Where is the stolen fleet?” There is a sense that the third season of The Mandalorian is not really a direct continuation of the first two, and so a lot of information needs to be established very directly, with no time for poetry or nuance. “The Apostate” suggests that Djarin is still stuck chasing the past. Karga is a “High Magistrate” who has turned Nevarro into “the gem of the Outer Rim.” Katan is alone but at least sits on a throne. “I need this one,” he states to the Anzellans. The most obvious and most immediate is to assure the audience that The Mandalorian is back and that it is fundamentally the same show. It is to Favreau’s credit that “The Apostate” works at all, given the competing masters that it has to serve. This is an episode about setting up a new set of objectives for Djarin, establishing new rules and new stakes, and outlining what the next season or two is going to look like. The premiere’s second big objective is to bring the returning Mandalorian audience up to speed on what they missed if they skipped The Book of Boba Fett. He follows up with, “What became of Gideon?” There’s a sense of needing to cover ground quickly. However, there is a sense that The Mandalorian has charted a rocky course to its third season. If Din is successful and ventures to Sundari, audiences will see the ruins of the city from the Empire in live-action. Anzellans were seen in The Rise of Skywalker, and are known for being master droidsmiths. The first episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian provides answers as to Cara Dune’s fate. However, the return of the Anzellans indicates that sequels are still a thing in Star Wars. Audiences are familiar with protocol droids, especially the likes of C-3PO, who have familiar designs It is on par with the devastation of a Death Star, rendering the planet inhabitable through orbital bombardment leaves warning and a graveyard planet. It’s interesting to see Din Djarin provide evidence of the surface of Mandalore with this green crystal. The fact that space pirates are showing just how much of a nuisance they can be further cements them in Star Wars canon, and brings hope for the arrival of Hondo Ohnaka. There is a vastness in the Star Wars galaxy, one that sees a constant return of memorable faces, droids, species, and phrases. However, perhaps the most famous of pirates is the proclaimed Pirate King Hondo Ohnaka, who as yet, has not been seen in live-action Star Wars. Pirates lurk in every corner of space in Star Wars.

Here we see that he has gotten better at using the Force, even if it is to snatch candies without moving from his chair. IG-11 immediately attempts to murder Grogu and persists with its goal till Karga’s protocol droid drops a bust statue of the magistrate on it smashing its head. If that is true, we may see a reviving Mandalore by the end of this season or next. It all ended in one massive tragedy on the Night of a Thousand Tears when Galactic forces purged the planet and left nothing behind. IG-11, the killer droid who changed its ways after Kuiil’s reprogramming and nurturing, became an essential character in Season 1. Other than the Armorer and Paz Vizsla, we haven’t seen others in action all that much, other than that time they helped Mando escape. However, squashing our speculation, Din Djarin soon appears in his newly commissioned N-1 Starfighter with Grogu in tow and saves the day by blasting a hole in the creature. According to the official Star Wars Mando asks if she has given up on the goal of taking Mandalore back. What makes it even more poetic is that the boy’s oath was interrupted right before he could repeat the vow to never take off his helmet. But before the boy could finish taking his oath, a leviathan emerges from the water and attacks the Mandalorians. It is handed over to a youngling standing in the sea, who is then sworn to ‘The Way’ of the Creed.

Hopefully, the purrgil’s live-action appearance in The Mandalorian season 3, episode 1 paves the way for more stories involving these compelling creatures in Star Wars’ future. It’s not unreasonable to assume that some adventurers and researchers traverse the galaxy hoping to catch a glimpse of the purrgil. Leia has proven herself to be an adventurous spirit, and though it can get in the way of her duties, Bail recognizes her childlike wonder and curiosity. Considering the purrgil are one of Star Wars’ most interesting creatures, as well as the importance of hyperspace travel within the galaxy, it’s surprising they haven’t been introduced in live-action prior to The Mandalorian season 3. In that series, Ezra Bridger, a young Jedi Padawan, made a strong connection with the purrgil through the Force, utilizing them as allies in the fight against the Empire in Star Wars Rebels’ explosive series finale.
