Google makes it clear that you can already install the [Microsoft 365 web app](https://www.office.com/) to get a passable experience today, but in the future, Microsoft 365 users will get a “guided setup experience that takes them through the process of installing the Microsoft 365 web app and connecting Microsoft OneDrive to their Chromebook Files app.” The latter part is particularly interesting, as it suggests that it will finally be possible to manage your OneDrive files in the native ChromeOS Files app, an option that has been missing for years. Once that’s done, you should see Microsoft OneDrive appear in the Files app's sidebar, just below Google Drive. However, it's unclear if this integration will give you full access to your OneDrive files, including the ability to copy, paste, and edit them, or if it will be read-only. While Google has lately tried to push Chromebooks as a cheaper way to enjoy cloud gaming, many owners of the Chrome OS devices use it for work, ...

It includes, among other features, access to Outlook without ads on mobile apps and its website, along with 100GB of OneDrive cloud space. The fact that it is making a special effort shows that Google knows many Chromebook users like using Microsoft 365, which could spur more purchases of Chromebooks by business users. However, Google recently announced it will be much easier to install and use those services for Chromebooks in the near future. The new system will move those Chromebook Files content into OneDrive when users launch Microsoft 365. It will be available first on the Chrome OS Dev and Beta channels before its official release, which will happen sometime in the months ahead. At the moment, it's not all that intuitive to install Microsoft 365 and OneDrive on Chromebooks.

And finally, if you store Teams meeting recordings or other videos in SharePoint or OneDrive for Business, you can now upload, download, delete, or replace the WebVTT caption files (Web Video Text Tracks) that accompany them. Using the new Accessibility Settings menu in Teams, you can now [enable captions to appear across all your Teams meetings](https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-teams-blog/introducing-sign-language-view-for-teams-meetings/ba-p/3671257), cutting down on tedious pre-meeting setup tasks. Sign language view can be turned on for all meetings in the Settings menu or enabled on the fly within any meeting, and like pinning and captioning, this view is personal and will not affect others in the meeting. Designed by, for, and with members of the D/HH community, sign language view targets the common scenario where a D/HH participant is working with one or more interpreters in a meeting and wishes to keep one or two signers visible at all times. Sign language view is a new meeting experience in Microsoft Teams that helps signers—people who are deaf/hard of hearing (D/HH), interpreters, and others who use sign language—keep one another prioritized on center stage, in a consistent location, throughout every meeting. We have been busy across Microsoft 365, obsessing over new ways to help everyone communicate, create, and comprehend in the way that works best for them.
