Out of the Lily Collins fashion archives, though, her ensemble from the 15th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards was just too good to pass: That year, Collins ...
[Hayley Williams' all-over bow outfit](https://fashionista.com/2022/09/hayley-williams-paramore-bow-adorned-dress-pca-2010) the first few days on the Fashionista job โ I firmly believe bows are destined for fashion greatness especially. Collins clearly agrees: She recently wore a shimmery bow mini dress from Valentino to the premiere of ["Emily in Paris" Season 3](https://www.instagram.com/p/CmNqJWiMKAT/?hl=en) in the French capital. (Remember when Tumblrcore and [Alexa Chung](https://fashionista.com/2021/11/alexa-chung-best-outfits) twee trends were at an all-time high?) Circa 2013, the then-23-year-old starred in films like "Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" โ naturally, that meant she was making a lot of awards show appearances.
Lily Collins wore a sleek, floor-length gown with a plunging neckline to the 15th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards in February 2013.
The long-sleeve gown was mostly black, with a suit-style top and peplum skirt. The neckline of the see-through dress plunged all the way to Collins' waist, where it met a belt. A high-waisted skirt paired with the top. A deep-V neckline emphasized the draping of the fabric. A large belt completed the look. It gave a delicate look to the otherwise full-coverage dress. It boasts a back consisting of two crisscrossing velvet straps and two that run parallel to each other on the sides. Collins' pink, short-sleeved gown was made up of layers of tulle and floral appliquรฉ throughout. The actor opted for a sheer Michail Sykianakis dress with long sleeves that cut off at the knees. It stopped just above her ankles, which showed off a pair of silver, strappy sandals. The gown, designed by Julien Macdonald, featured fabric that matched the actor's skin tone and gave her the effect of an optical illusion. She traded in see-through dresses for a see-through jumpsuit during fashion week.
