Motorcycle premiums closed at S$11,690, down from S$12,100 in the last exercise. For Category A cars, or those 1,600cc and below with horsepower not exceeding 130bhp, premiums closed at S$88,007, down from S$88,503 in the last exercise. COE prices for commercial vehicles, which include goods vehicles and buses, fell to S$78,200 from S$81,501 in the previous bidding exercise.

Cat B (Cars above 1,600cc or 97kW or fully electric cars with output over 110kW): S$108,006 (up from S$105,501) Cat A (Cars up to 1,600cc & 97kW or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW): S$88,007 (down from S$88,503) In contrast, Category A premiums — for small cars (up to 1,600cc & 97kW) or fully electric cars with output of up to 110kW — dipped slightly from S$88,503 in the last exercise to S$88,007.

COE prices fall across all categories except for Cat B (AsiaOne)

In the 2nd COE bidding exercise for December 2022, Cat A closed at $88007, Cat B at $108006, Cat C at $78200, Cat D at $11690, and Cat E at $109600.

In the category for larger cars and more powerful EVs, the premium rose from $105501 to $108006, an increase of 2.4 per cent. Read more at straitstimes.com.

However, this has not translated to higher COE prices in the category at Wednesday’s tender. The bulk of the bids for motorcycle COEs only came in the final three minutes of the exercise. Until the last 11 minutes of the tender on Wednesday, there were fewer bids submitted than the available number of COEs in the small car and Open categories.
