Embarrassing season for Colts continues with the biggest meltdown ... (Horseshoe Heroes)

The Indianapolis Colts blew the biggest lead in NFL history on Saturday as they fell to the Minnesota Vikings 39-36 in a Week 15 matchup.

Being outscored 39-3 in the second half, Indy allowed the Vikings to climb back into the game and steal it. The Colts haven’t done much good this season but there is one thing Indy has done impressively: reach new lows. Everyone was calling Minnesota frauds, and the Indianapolis was just flat-out dominating the Vikings. It was a new low in a season with many low points for the Colts, and everyone foolishly assumed it couldn’t get worse. In that game, Indy had given up 33 points in the fourth quarter and

NFL Week 15 takeaways: Vikings are comeback kings, Ravens ... (The Washington Post)

The Minnesota Vikings took a roundabout route but got it done Saturday in a game with major playoff implications. The Baltimore Ravens? Not so much.

The Dolphins beat the Bills in Week 3 in Miami Gardens, Fla. The two teams play again in Cincinnati in Week 18. The Vikings would lock up the division crown with a triumph over the Colts. In Baltimore, Tyler Huntley was cleared Thursday under the NFL concussion protocols and he will make a second straight start at quarterback for the Ravens, with Jackson sidelined by a knee injury. The Ravens desperately need Jackson back in the lineup. The Ravens hold the tiebreaker advantage over the Bengals by virtue of a victory over them earlier this season. The two teams meet in Cincinnati in Week 18, with the division title possibly at stake. The Vikings did not score on that possession but got the ball back and tied the game on a 64-yard touchdown dash by tailback Dalvin Cook on a screen pass and Cousins’s two-point conversion pass to tight end T.J. The Colts used a touchdown on a blocked punt and a touchdown on an interception of a pass thrown by Cousins to build their huge lead. 3, 1993, when they overcame a 32-point deficit to defeat the Houston Oilers, 41-38, in overtime in an AFC playoff game in Orchard Park, N.Y.

NFL Week 15 takeaways - Lessons, big questions for every game (ESPN)

On Thursday, rookie quarterback Brock Purdy helped the the San Francisco 49ers clinch the NFC West by beating the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Saturday's ...

Can the Seahawks still make the playoffs? It illustrated how big the gap has suddenly become between the 49ers and a Seattle team that used to own them not long ago. But the Colts still called 37 combined runs for backups [Deon Jackson](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4240455/deon-jackson) and [Zack Moss](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/4035676/zack-moss). What to know: The Seahawks have a long way to go before they can compete with San Francisco for NFC West supremacy. As long as that two spot is in play, don't expect the Niners to take their foot off the gas, in part because they need to get Purdy as many snaps as possible before the postseason. The Ravens showed no signs of panic after the deflating defeat in Cleveland, though, and they know they can take the division if they win out. It's been a tough stretch for the Ravens, who have been held to 16 or fewer points in three consecutive games -- the team's worst such rut since 2000. [Minnesota Vikings](/nfl/team/_/name/min/minnesota-vikings) hosting the [Indianapolis Colts](/nfl/team/_/name/ind/indianapolis-colts), who built a 33-0 halftime lead before [Kirk Cousins](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/14880/kirk-cousins) and the Vikings pulled off the biggest comeback in NFL history -- clinching the NFC North in the process. Can the 6-8 Browns still make the playoffs? Cleveland's defense has quietly been playing better of late -- though it will likely be too little, too late for the 2022 season. Is it the one that fell behind 33-0 at halftime, having allowed a blocked punt to be returned for one touchdown and an interception returned for another? But they did exactly that, and now have won 11 of the first 14 games of coach Kevin O'Connell's tenure.

Though a review showed that the runner had fumbled the ball and Sullivan had recovered it, Minnesota was not awarded the touchdown. How the Vikings pulled off biggest comeback in NFL history (ESPN)

The Vikings came back from 33-0 to engineer the greatest NFL comeback ever. Here's how it unfolded.

What I don't want to do is get to the end of my career, Cooper has grown older and you look back and you say, 'I missed it. I know how hard it is to win the division. To be down 33-0 in with eight minutes to go in the third quarter. We had an expedited review to announce that it was a fumble, and we had a clear recovery. Can we eat some clock and then have the mindset when we get the first first down. We've converted a bunch this season, and I felt like we had the matchup we wanted. I said to him in the locker room, 'I've been in a front-row seat for the best plays in your career over the last five years. Then it appeared they had tied the game on a fumble recovery and return by [Chandon Sullivan](https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/_/id/3124849/chandon-sullivan). It was clear that it was out.
