The Last Drop Releases Some Of The World's Rarest Whiskies (Forbes)

The Last Drop Distillers, from the Hanyu & Other Famed Distilleries, Japanese Blended Scotch Whisky, 20 YO, 60% ABV, 700 ml, 177 bottles released. Although this ...

This is a complex, layered whisky on the nose that offers up aromas of dried stone fruit and hints of tropical fruits and golden raisin. There are also the leather and waxy rancio notes often found in ultra-aged whiskeys. There are also licorice notes and dried apricot, and fresh apple flavors. The orange zest seems more candied on the palate than on the nose. The whisky is oily, viscous, and incredibly smooth on the palate. On the palate, itโ€™s creamy, with a noticeable viscosity and palate weight. There are dried peach apricot, fresh melon, and mango notes. It was also a component of the Cutty Sark blend. There are noticeable, although subtle, Sherry notes of almond, golden raisin, and a bit of seasoned wood. Historically, most of the distilleryโ€™s production was slated for The Famous Grouse. This 100% Japanese blended whisky consists of malt whisky distilled at Hanyu between 1980 and 2000 blended with malts from other Japanese whisky distillers. The company recently announced its 2022 set of releases.

The busiest of all is between the South Korean capital Seoul and the leisure destination of Jeju, where airlines operated an average of 224 flights a day. Prior to the healthcare emergency, the busiest international route in 2019 was between Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Changi. There was an average of 35 daily flights between the two hubs over the past 12 months, with a total of 3.2 million scheduled seats. There were 40 flights a day, a few more than on the Cairo-Jeddah route but with slightly fewer available seats at 3.19 million. However, Asian markets are still the busiest in terms of purely domestic traffic, accounting for nine of the ten busiest domestic routes in the world. Nine carriers operate on this route, which is also ranked by OAG as the most competitive route in the world.
