Skaar's She-Hulk and MCU connections, explained (Polygon)

Hulk's son Skaar (played by actor Wil Deusner) raises questions about his time in space, his mom, Caeira Oldstrong, and if there will be a Hulk movie ...

And not long after that, Skaar was depowered by the Hulk himself under the sway of a shifty alter-ego calling himself Doc Green. His defeat at the combined hands of Hulk and Skaar finally provided a meaningful bond between that father and son pair, and ended their long love-hate dynamic. Both of those lessons are ones that cousin Bruce urged Jen to take to heart back in the show’s pilot episode, and seeing him take on another familial protégé makes a certain amount of sense, even as it adds another wrinkle to the increasingly knotty and chaotic Banner family tree. Of course, family relationships in Marvel Comics are rarely simple, and Hulk and Skaar’s father-son bonding trip was no exception. The first of these boys, Skaar, has had the more Hulk-relevant history. She used her powers to ensure her unborn children survived Sakaar’s destruction and then became one with the planet. But in any case, their initial brawl was a sideshow: It was papa Bruce that Skaar was after. Written by Greg Pak and drawn by Carlo Pagulayan and Aaron Lopresti, that story found Earth’s heroes collectively sighing impatiently at Bruce Banner’s periodic fits of Hulked-out rage, and tricking him into an intergalactic flight that exiled him to a distant galaxy. On the planet, he had to bear horrible things and he has put the blame for each of them on his father. Perhaps he will be killed by somebody and the Hulk will avenge him instead of It would be an 'Avengers' movie without being an 'Avengers' movie. But clearly, Disney has not been able to bring Universal to the table in a similar way. Written by Greg Pak and penciled by John Romita Jr, 'World War Hulk' followed the 'Planet Hulk' storyline. We do not know for sure, but perhaps a Hulk movie based on the World War Hulk storyline. A Hulk movie is long overdue, but it has not been possible. And he also has one in the comics too, also named Skaar. And the answer to this question is yes, he clearly has a son in MCU. But in the comics, he is a rage monster like his father and also dreams of killing his father as he was abandoned at Sakaar by him. However, in the show, he appeared to be friendly, even a bit timid. This is a valid, and pertinent question. The latest episode of Tatiana Maslany-starrer 'She-Hulk: Attorney at Law' was an awesome, meta, and kind of crazy finale that subverted expectations and the superhero genre tropes to deliver a quieter finale that its heroine wished for.

Who Plays Hulk's Son Skaar in 'She-Hulk'? Meet Wil Deusner (Decider)

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law concluded Season 1 with the reveal of Hulk's son Skaar, played by Will Deusner. But who is Skaar and is he from the comics?

Skaar is the son of the Hulk and the Sakaarian Caiera the Oldstrong. In the comics, Skaar is a warrior and depicted as more of a Conan the Barbarian type and less of a superhero-y, Hulk smash type. Yes, the Hulk does have a son in the comics. That’s all we know and the rest we have to infer. Here’s what we know about Skaar the character as he exists in the MCU: he’s Hulk’s son and he was hanging out on the planet Sakaar, the trash planet seen in Thor: Ragnarok. But there’s one way that She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is very much like everything else in the MCU: it gave us a major character introduction that’s gonna propel the franchise forward in a totally unexpected way.
