Kids go on joyrides in Lamborghinis as part of One Punggol town ... (Mothership.sg)

In his Instagram story, Tong shared that 65 kids got to experience a joy ride in these "super cars", as the launch also doubled as a Children's Day celebration.

According to Teo's Facebook post, the "joy rides" for Punggol kids were offered by members of Singapore's Lamborghini club, in what Teo called a "roaring start" for the opening of One Punggol Community Club. According to social media posts by Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean and Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong, the line-up of brightly coloured Lamborghinis were in the area for the opening of the new One Punggol Community Club. [video](https://www.facebook.com/MrTeoCheeHean/videos/1008221670012218) posted by Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean, who is also a Member of Parliament for the Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, showed a large crowd gathered outside the community club, as the Lamborghinis cruised past one at a time.

Also slated to open in 2023 is Punggol Regional Library. These will open some time in the future. The community club will also offer digital readiness courses for seniors. Another community space is the multi-purpose hall on Level 5. The building is connected to Waterway Point by a linear park, These can host large-scale events and allow for residents to gather together.

One Punggol CC, Punggol's one-stop community hub, finally opened its doors on 9 Oct, offering an array of amenities for healthy living.

Residents can partake in community programmes and bond with their fellow neighbours. One Punggol will function as a central town hub, connecting citizens from all walks of life. Many in the community own pets, and the centre will work with partners to set up pet interest groups. Speaking at the event, Mr Teo said the upgraded centre would cater to the increasing number of residents in the area. As the name suggests, it is poised to become a one-stop hub, offering a multitude of facilities for residents, such as a multi-purpose hall, futsal court and more. For the longest time, Punggol residents have had to make do with access to limited amenities in a relatively new estate.
