A series of activities will be held on Nov 11 to mark the stations' opening. All 32 TEL stations are expected to open by 2025. The free rides are available from 10am to 9pm.

The 11 stations are Stevens, Napier, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard, Great World, Havelock, Outram Park, Maxwell, Shenton Way, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay.

This is great news to many as the North-South Line is usually always packed, especially during peak hours. To celebrate the opening of the 11 stations, commuters will be able to travel free of charge along the new stations from 10am to 9pm on 11 Nov. Stevens MRT Station will connect to the Downtown Line, which leads people to Bugis, while Orchard MRT Station will connect people to North-South Line, which leads them to Newton and Toa Payoh stations Outram Park station will connect to the East-West Line and North-East Line, which allows people to access Little India and Tanjong Pagar, while Marina Bay station connects to the North-South Line and Circle Line, which gives access to Novena and Buona Vista. These 11 stations cover over 13.2km and will allow people to get from the Orchard area to the Marina Bay area more conveniently. The TEL will improve connectivity between the northern, central, and eastern parts of Singapore and strengthen the resilience of the rail network by providing alternative routes for commuters on other lines. A resident travelling from Bright Hill to Gardens by the Bay will take about 40 minutes, compared to 65 minutes currently. It spans 13.2km and consists of four interchanges.
