Now frappes are the modern coffee bar's equivalent of a slush drink with a multitude of flavours and add-ons. Strain the coffee into a large bowl and repeat a couple of times to remove the coffee residue. While the South Indian filter coffee combines this decoction with thick milk and sugar, the Vietnamese version is combined with condensed milk and can be served hot or cold with ice cubes added. Espresso is shaken with ice in a cocktail shaker and then poured into a Martinis-style glass or a taller glass. It's probably the coffee equivalent of a Stout beer. This is a short shot of a highly concentrated espresso that uses the same amount of ground coffee but extracted with a finer grind using half the quantity of water. Makes the perfect night cap (if you can sleep after a strong shot of coffee) after a heavy dinner and dessert. This strong coffee is essentially an espresso with a 'spot' of milk foam. This frothy coffee is crafted with a single shot of espresso and steamed milk. In Italy the typical ratio is one part of Espresso with 2 parts of heated milk and a little foam. The Flat white has less foam and more milk than a Cappuccino. The milk is steamed, not frothed, to leave a smooth and velvety crema on top.

Which has allowed new brewers who used to drink only instant coffee to move up the ladder and experiment with different formats. He added that in addition to metros, cities like Pune, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh are showcasing impressive growth. This number clearly indicates a strong coffee industry that’s brewing in the country. Sharing his thoughts on the up-and-coming specialty coffee culture, Das from Tata Consumer Products said that lately there has been a growing appreciation for freshly ground and roasted coffee. Brands such as Tata Coffee Grand- Instant coffee, Bru by Hindustan Unilever, and Nescafe by Nestle have been dominating the instant coffee space in India.
