England vs. Germany live stream: UEFA Nations League prediction ... (CBSSports.com)

The Nations League comes to an end for Germany and an England side that will slip out of the top tier.

The likes of Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire have delivered for most of the current manager's reign but have struggled with the Three Lions of late, and in the case of the latter, are doing nothing at club level to earn their international opportunities. Surely though it is too late for the likes of Tomori to find themselves in the England side? Usually, a dead rubber in a lower-stakes tournament such as the Nations League would afford opportunities to give fringe players such as Ivan Toney and Fikayo Tomori a chance to earn their place in Qatar.

The Germans went out to a 2-0 lead into the second half before Gareth Southgate’s team scored three consecutive goals. Though this particular incident did not occur inside a stadium, violence is a worrying trend at soccer functions. The pub in question is apparently regularly frequented by families. “The group entered the beer garden of the pub and began assaulting customers, most of whom were in the area to attend the England vs Germany match. Others were treated for facial wounds, but it does not appear that there were any life-threatening incidents. [West Ham](https://bracethehammer.sbnation.com/)’s Thilo Kehrer was solid if unremarkable, but looked very much like a player with a role to play in the Qatar. Finally, there’s Werner — who for all the truly agonizing misses that have come to define him, still changed the game after coming on at the half. Hofmann had the worst day in attack and looked off the pace, at least for what he was asked to do. [Tottenham](https://cartilagefreecaptain.sbnation.com)’s Harry Kane and [Borussia Dortmund](https://www.fearthewall.com)’s Jude Bellingham were certainly standouts, while Luke Shaw ( [Manchester United](https://thebusbybabe.sbnation.com)) got in on the scoring and delivered some outstanding service to the front line. Better composure from Timo Werner on two occasions might have resulted in two goals for him — it’s not so different from Kai Havertz, who headlined the scoring but wasn’t a dominant force himself. Saka failed to score in the 90th minute, but could hardly have done better after being cleverly closed down — just bout — by Germany’s İlkay Gündoğan.
