Horror film "Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey" is directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield and gives the Christopher Robin tale a twisted take.

“Hopefully we can ramp it up even more and go even more crazy and go even more kind of extreme,” Frake-Waterfield said on the podcast. The story is meant to be that they’ve gone on this onslaught from being kind of enraged by what’s happened to Christopher.” The duo gorge on Eeyore, only for Christopher to then introduce them to his new wife without realizing they have gotten “increasingly hungry and feral” since he was away.

Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey Trailer Releases (Videogamer.com)

The first blood soaked trailer for Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey is here! Teasing the beloved AA Milne characters as we've never seen them.

My guess would be Easter time at the earliest, although, with this being a horror film, a Halloween release date would also make sense. Instead, they’re presented here as blood thirsty murderers stalking a group of young beautiful people (mostly young women) echoing their cinematic forefathers, Freddie Kruger, and Jason Voorhees. How fitting it feels to have one of our most beloved and gentle fictional heroes turned into a sadistic, bloodthirsty killer.

We’ve even started to see advice to switch the tasks of our daily living [away from home and into the office](https://www.independent.co.uk/voices/energy-bills-money-saving-tips-winter-b2156602.html), simply to be able to cope with costs. We better get used to it. Of course we do! The world is burning – so of course we now have one of our most beloved and gentle fictional heroes turned into a sadistic, bloodthirsty killer. But their pain at being abandoned for so many years has turned them savage – and thirsty for blood. Then, there was Stephen King’s It, which I first read as an early teen, and later watched (and will forever wish I hadn’t). In many ways, it is, truly, the end of days; for After going on the rampage, Pooh and friends – in horrible, The Wicker Man-reminiscent animal masks – stuff themselves with honey. Only now, Pooh is very, very different. What are some of the films that scared you as a kid?

Another challenge Waterfield faced was balancing the line between horror and comedy. "But also, making sure it’s still good. "We knew there was this line between that, and we knew what their copyright was and what they’ve done. So we did as much as we could to make sure [the film] was only based on the 1926 version of it."

How can Winnie the Pooh be made a killer in 'Blood and Honey ... (USA TODAY)

How did silly old bear Winnie the Pooh and Piglet end up on a killing spree in the horror movie "Blood and Honey"? And can Disney stop it? We explore.

So he won't appear in "Blood and Honey." "Disney is going to lose millions and a valuable copyright that it’s been able to leverage on all sorts of merchandise. The investing advice company estimates that Pooh and friends generate $3 billion to $6 billion annually for Disney. While the movie character's mask is clearly Disney Pooh, the bear has swapped his famed red shirt for a lumberjack shirt and Piglet dons all black. And will Disney, which acquired the rights to the Pooh characters back in 1961, be out for blood? It’s gonna be a high priority." copyright law is usually limited to the life of the author, plus 70 years. So how, in the name of sweet honey, is this possible? But it’s had protection for years and has been granted term extensions," Donald P. The Copyright Term Extension Act, implemented in 1998, protects corporate authorship rights for 95 years from first publication or 120 years after its creation, whichever ends sooner. "It’s made Pooh and Piglet’s life quite difficult," Waterfield said. Drop the mic, or the bloody sledgehammer.
