"A Flight to Remember" will celebrate Jurong Bird Park's legacy and heritage, and will include various events and activities such as a self-guided Heritage Trail and the reopening of the park's old Panorail Station. The entrance of the park will also feature a recreation of the old cuckoo clock tower, which doubles as a countdown timer to the park's final day of operations. Next year, the bird park will relocate to Mandai and will be renamed Bird Paradise. 3, 2023. Singapore's one and only bird park will finally be taking its leave from the west side of the island.

Jurong Bird Park will soon be closing its doors to the public. Its last day of operations will be on 3 Jan 2023.

Mandai Wildlife Group said more updates on the new bird park will be shared at a later time. Some might recall the park’s Panorail monorail system that ran from 1992 to 2012, giving visitors panoramic views of the park. Bookings for the tour open on 19 Oct. After their last day on 3 Jan 2023, Jurong Bird Park’s avian residents and staff will be moving to their new home in Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. To pay homage to the park’s legacy, Jurong Bird Park will be holding a host of activities to give guests “A Flight To Remember” from 3 Sep 2022.

The first is a staff-curated trail that serves as an insider’s guide to Jurong Bird Park. Local residents now enjoy up to 20 percent off tickets to Jurong Bird Park. Instead, the staff and residents will be making a move to their new home in Bird Paradise at Mandai Wildlife Reserve. In the meantime, visitors are invited to take a trip down memory lane. Take some photos and share your favourite memories at the Memory Wall at Penguin Coast, and watch your reminiscences pop-up on screen in real-time. This experience will be open for booking on October 19.

SINGAPORE — Jurong Bird Park, a familiar landmark to many Singaporeans, is set to close on Jan 3 next year, exactly 52 years after it opened in 1971.

It allows them to explore Jurong Bird Park through the eyes of the “dedicated team” that keeps the park running every single day. Besides that, visitors may contribute their favourite memories of Jurong Bird Park to a “living” memory wall at the penguin coast attraction. There will also be a recreation of the park’s old cuckoo clock tower for visitors to take photos with it.

Then in 2001, a Twelve-wired Bird of Paradise was bred under human care - a world first. The goal is to return the progenies back to help repopulate their native habitat, said Mandai Wildlife Group. A crowd favourite has got to be the King of the Skies presentation, featuring birds like the Bald Eagle and Himalayan Griffon Vulture. The Pool's Amphitheatre, which features the All Stars Bird Show, had a capacity of 2,000. The idea for a bird park came from the late Dr Goh Keng Swee, who was then Finance Minister, after he visited an aviary in Rio De Janeiro in 1968. It houses one of the world's tallest man-made indoor waterfalls, standing at 30m tall.
