Samsung has just revealed their latest slate of devices within their foldables and accessories line-up. We check out what they are all about.
The smartwatch will retain the ‘sporty’ look and will also be a little smaller compared to the Pro version, measuring 40mm and 44mm compared to the Pro’s 45mm size. I was treated to a demo of this feature with Coldplay, and I could hear the various instruments and sounds from all directions — a pretty unique experience. Now, the Galaxy Buds2 Pro is decked out in an all-matte finish, available in either Graphite (black), White, and Bora Purple colours, and that extends to the case as well. Since we are on the topic of the Pro model, you might be sad to know that the fan-favourite metal rotator around the bezel is missing for this year’s smartwatch. A new D-Buckle Sport Band is included as part of the Watch5 Pro to provide added durability. For example, the new Galaxy Watch5 series consists of two models for users to choose from, a regular and a pro version. In terms of design, the Galaxy Z Flip4 looks almost identical to the Flip3, but that is no slight against it. That tiny screen previously allowed you to take quick selfies — using the small screen as a small viewfinder. On the cameras, the Galaxy Z Fold4 has received a significant upgrade. There’s a new taskbar feature for the Galaxy Z Fold4 that mimics the one seen for desktop computers. Samsung’s Galaxy series is back, and while the early months of the year are all for its flagship phone and tablet line, the second half is dedicated to its foldable devices. For something more work-based, users can take advantage of the drag and drop feature for Google apps — copy and pasting links, photos, and more from Chrome to Gmail for instance.

On Wednesday, Samsung introduce its latest foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4, which launch on Aug. 26.
It also has a slimmer hinge like the Flip4, and is lighter compared with last year's Fold device. The phone also adds new swiping gestures to multitask, such as using two apps simultaneously in a split-screen view. As with previous models, users can also use a flex mode for viewing different apps depending on how the phone is positioned. It will be available in four colors: bora purple, graphite, pink gold, and blue. The phone also includes a slimmer hinge where the screen bends to open and close, as well as straightened edges. On Wednesday, Samsung introduced its latest foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4. Both devices are available to pre-order, and will formally launch Aug. 26.
Say hello to two new foldable phones, new smartwatches, and a new pair of wireless earbuds.
Samsung also says it has further enhanced the durability of the main screens by 45 percent over the previous generation. It's like a normal phone, but you can fold it in half like a clamshell—a boon to anyone who hates how massive phones have become over the years. At today's second annual Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung unboxed the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4, which bring more refinements than ever to a still nascent category.
Samsung just announced the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 foldable smartphones, two new smartwatches and a new high-end pair of wireless earbuds.
The Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro is the company's new and most high-end pair of wireless earbuds. The Galaxy Watch 5 Pro starts at $450 and $500 for the LTE model, and is only available in a 45mm size. First, there's the Galaxy Watch5, which is an improved version of last year's Galaxy Watch 4. The Galaxy Watch 5 starts at $280, or $330 for the LTE model, and will be available in either 40mm or 44mm sizes. Multitasking is even more streamlined thanks to more apps supporting it and a new Taskbar layout, which makes the experience (when fully opened) very PC-like. Like before, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 supports wireless charging and works with the S Pen stylus. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the first device to ship with Android 12L, which is "a special version of Android created by Google for large-screen experiences."

As such, my wish list for the Z Flip 4 (and I naturally speak for all phone users), is a thinner phone with improved camera system and larger battery. So if Samsung can really deliver the Pro-grade tech in the Buds 2 Pro, that will be a step in the right direction. Indeed, it was only with last year'sSamsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 (and almost more importantly, with its Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3) that the South Korean maker's foldable phones really took off. However, it's battery life and camera system is not up to the standards of the best non-folding phones, so a bump in battery capacity and camera quality would be superb. Regular readers of T3.com will know that I'm a big fan of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 phone. It's like having two phones glued back to back in your pocket instead of one, so if the Fold 4 can be thinner and lighter, that would be a big improvement. Indeed, the idea of having a phone and tablet in one device really appeals to me. The Galaxy Watch 5 will apparently come in two sizes, a 40mm variant and a 44mm model. To make the Fold 4 lighter the display has been redesigned, and a metal layer has been removed. This is the news I know a lot of you have been waiting for. He seems to be highlighting that you can hold the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in different ways to standard phones. We get a feely goody story about Samsung engineers pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
