She’s a nurse in this show, married to Lee Jong-Suk and is fed up with his ‘big talk’. Im Yoon-Ah is so beautiful, women want to wear Lee jeans because they want to look like her. The reaction when he fumbles around the heroine in a movie, the way he falls when he notices Deepika Padukone emerge from the car in Om Shanti Om… Lee Jong-Suk makes women feel the same way. Later, Mi-ho gets moved to Gucheon University Hospital, while Chang-ho asks Soon-tae to file divorce papers on his behalf so that if he is given the death sentence, at least loan sharks won’t hound his wife. As he is asked whether he is Big Mouse, Mayor Do-ha stands outside the interrogation room, listening intently to all of his answers. Furthermore, our protagonist is going through some changes in his life, and it’s only a matter of time before he will be able to find himself in prison. So, he tries to instigate Yang Chun-sik to get him to do the dirty deed. Elsewhere, a meeting between the greats results in Ji-hoon telling the three musketeers to not do anything until he can say definitively whether he is Big Mouse or not. Meanwhile, the entire prison is abuzz with conversation around Big Mouse and heated predictions about his real identity. At the prison, realizing who drugged him and why, he asks to talk to Do-ha and afterwards tells the mayor how he wound up there and why. Meanwhile, Mi-ho isn’t able to talk to Chang-ho, and she, too, gets the news that Chang-ho is being touted as Big Mouse everywhere. Chang-ho, later, is taken to Gucheon Penitentiary, and he mentions that it’s not a good or safe place for people to be. As he wakes up in the hospital, the sight is the same – his concerned wife is towering over him, asking him whether he is ok. At the prison, Chang-ho gets tortured immensely and eventually hung. Unfortunately, Do-ha isn’t in the mood for negotiation anymore, which leaves him in prison, mentioning that it would be easier to talk to Ji-hoon.

He’s then falsely accused of being Big Mouse, a genius con artist who swiped slush funds from NR Forum, a secret organisation backed by the upper echelons of the Korean business world – including Ji-hoon. (There’s a pun in the moniker, as the words ‘mouth’ and ‘mouse’ are written the same way in Korean: 마우스, or ma-u-seu. Lee Jong-suk admirably covers a lot of dimensional ground as Chang-ho in just two episodes, going from a smooth-talking lawyer, a chummy son-in-law and sweet-tongued husband to a shrewd ‘double agent’ and then a beaten-down inmate who has to decide between fight or flight. Though Big Mouse is shunned by fellow inmates, he finds early allies in cellmates Jerry (Kwak Dong-yeon) and No Bak (Yang Hyung-wook). In particular, the close relationship between the two men is anchored by an easy, comfortable chemistry between both actors, who had acted together in 2017’s While You Were Sleeping. (Big Mouth director Oh Choong-hwan was also at the helm of that drama.) As jarring as they may seem when set against the show’s darker themes of corruption and abuse of power, the newly incarcerated Chang-ho appears to rely on these light-hearted memories as a source of strength. Their approaches may differ, but when one takes apart the trope in the context of a drama or thriller, it often boils down to this: a fight for survival. To make matters worse, he ends up borrowing money from loan sharks to stay afloat – which he hides from his wife and high school sweetheart Go Mi-ho (YoonA from Girls’ Generation).
