Marvel is bringing fans back to Wakanda, revealing the first trailer for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" at Comic-Con.
It reminded me what an honor it was to support this cast.” They’re going to make it!” And they’re going to make it! “It’s going to be hard to follow that up, but we’ll try,” Coogler said. Series newcomers such as Michaela Coel, Dominique Thorne, Alex Nivilani, Mabel Cadena and Tenoch Huerta, also joined the panel. “It’s a blessing.

A lot of kids in their hood are dreaming to be here, and they can make it!" I come from the hood, and thanks to inclusion, I am here. Chadwick Boseman's absence is felt in the two-minute teaser – the T'Challa actor passed away in August 2020, and his character has not been recast.
I can't imagine it not standing alongside Top Gun: Maverick and Avatar: The Way of Water among the year's biggest movies. The film is essential to the MCU, ...
So there is a certain irony that it will end with a “new” Black Panther, even if it was mostly due to unfortunate circumstances. Kevin Feige just announced that Black Panther 2 will be the end of “Phase Four,” with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania kicking off “Phase Five” early next year. We now have a Black Panther sequel without the character who was “the Black Panther” last time out. It’s the one that had a massive fanbase of moviegoers who otherwise wouldn’t care that much about Marvel. We know this because it earned more than three out of four Avengers movies worldwide and more than any Star Wars movie save for The Force Awakens in unadjusted domestic earnings, outgrossing every solo superhero movie, including The Dark Knight. So it’s a little bemusing that Black Panther 2, Avatar 2 and Aquaman 2 will all open within a few months of each other. Right on time, and just under four months until the November 11, 2022 release date, we’ve got the first trailer for Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Offhand, it looks like a visual dynamo, with some amusing visual similarities to Avatar. Yes, that’s a compliment, as it wasn’t entirely a coincidence that Black Panther was the biggest-grossing non-sequel since Avatar nine years earlier.
Marvel released the first trailer for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' at San Diego Comic-Con and revealed two new 'Avengers' movies for 2025.
Marvel Studios' animation department had its first Comic-Con panel Friday, and producers previewed Season 2 of Disney+'s "What If...?" (featuring Jeffrey Wright as the Watcher), which arrives early next year and continues to play with multiversal versions of Marvel Cinematic Universe favorites. Debuting Aug. 10, "I Am Groot" is a series of five shorts that drop in at different points in the adorable Guardian of the Galaxy fixture's childhood. Feige also shows a glimpse of "Secret Invasion," a dark thriller with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and shapeshifting Skrulls all over the place. Miss Minutes from "Loki" reminds us we've survived a "looping apocalypse" and introduces Kevin Feige. He throws back three years to when Shang-Chi, Kamala Khan and a new Captain America were all first announced as part of Phase 4. Director Peyton Reed premieres a super-trippy "Quantumania" trailer featuring a glimpse at fan-favorite baddie MODOK and an appearance from villain Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors. "There will be conquering," Majors teases. "He’s pretty pleased with himself in his role in saving the universe," Rudd says. Gunn teased a thrilling and dramatic end to his trilogy with the first footage, showing Zoe Saldana's Gamora leading the Ravagers, Chris Pratt's Star-Lord trying to reconnect with her, the debut of Will Poulter's Adam Warlock (who was almost in "Vol. 2") and even a glimpse of baby Rocket. "This is where I always intended to go" from the first "Guardians," Gunn says, adding that the story is very much about Rocket being “the saddest creature in the universe." After a group of African musicians rouses the audience, "Wakanda Forever" director Ryan Coogler arrives to chat about the sequel. "She-Hulk" star Tatiana Maslany hits the stage with a new trailer, which shows the vibe of the upcoming legal comedy. "Call me sire," he tells Gunn. His purpose: "To take unevolved lowlife scum such as yourselves and enhance you genetically to something less reprehensible." Afterward, the director shares an embrace with a crying Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong'o, Winston Duke and others. Feige saved the best for last, announcing Phase 6.

In the rankings of MCU villains, Michael B. Jordan's Erik Killmonger is often at the top because he's not entirely wrong, and he knows it. Namor and T'Challa had a complicated relationship. When Black Panther arrived in theaters in 2018, not only was it one of Marvel Studios' most successful films to date, but it also impacted culture and society in a way that few blockbusters have. coupled with his superhuman abilities, led him to be labeled by Marvel Comics as "Marvel's first mutant." The image below of Namor in a ceremonial headdress is official evidence of Marvel Studios' change to the Sub-Mariner and that Marvel audiences will be in for more world-building rooted in cultural history in Wakanda Forever. But just like how 2018's Black Panther explored the hidden society of Wakanda and themes of loss and leadership, Wakanda Forever is expected to do the same in introducing Atlantis and a new MCU villain: Namor the Sub-Mariner.
In the official Disney press release detailing Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, it's stated that T'Challa has died by the time the film begins.
For a franchise that prides itself on planning ahead and building for the future, losing one of the key players will throw a wrench into the machine. After the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman in August 2020, fans have speculated how the Black Panther franchise would handle losing its lead actor. It was made clear that Marvel Studios had no intention of recasting T'Challa, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was announced in May 2021. Based on the official trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con, it seems that the film will begin with T'Challa's funeral, meaning that the remaining franchise players will be dealing with the struggle of the loss throughout the story. When Black Panther hit theaters in February of 2018, it immediately became one of the most impactful and important comic book movies of all time. Boseman had played T'Challa (aka the Black Panther) since 2016's Captain America: Civil War. After 3 more appearances in Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, he became a fan favorite.
The teaser or the first look for the upcoming Black Panther 2 by Ryan Coogler was launched at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.
The director paid tribute to Boseman at Comic-Con and said that Boseman's impact would live on forever. Net interest income, or the lender’s core income, rose 19% to ₹4,697 crore. It also seemed like a recreation of the warm lab rendezvous between her and T'Challa from Bosman's Wakanda. Lupita Nyongo's Nakia was also spotted. We also saw scenes underwater in which a child was being born, and large whales were swimming across oceans. It seemed like she was leading a funeral and taking up a new apprentice. The situation left the Black Panther series' future in limbo.
Boseman, who played the titular superhero in the MCU, passed away in August 2020 after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
Letitia Wright, who is said to be taking on the mantle of the Black Panther as Shuri, said she is looking forward to the film. I sat there and we premiered the first footage from 'Black Panther 1,' and sitting next to me was our T’Challa, the late great Chadwick Boseman." The filmmaker said he could feel the late star's presence in the room. "It's been five years since I was here.
At San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel Studios unveiled our first look at 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' with an exclusive clip featuring Namor.
"The impact that Black Panther had on the world was indescribable, but most of all, spiritual," Thorne said at the event. Namor also has a history with T’Challah (aka, the Black Panther). Both characters are the kings of their respective secret nations and have worked together in the past. Predating DC’s Aquaman by two years, Namor was introduced by Marvel in 1939 and created by writer-artist Bill Everett. An anti-hero and member of the Illuminati, Namor hails from Atlantis but was later revealed to be a Mutant in comic book canon. It’s unclear how Namor will fit into the MCU at large, though Marvel seemed to tease his arrival in one scene from Avengers: Endgame. Coogler reminisced on being with the late Chadwick Boseman, who played the titular hero in the first film. "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for inclusion.

But Riri shows serious potential as the one who will pick up the pieces that Stark left behind when he died. As mentioned above, for a while there, it was thought that Peter Parker would be the one to fully embody Tony's legacy. His Iron Man appeared in nine movies total and was the one to end the Mad Titan Thanos once and for all at the cost of his own life in the most recent Avengers film. Check out an image comparing the two scenes below: Riri Williams will make her debut in Marvel Studios' Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, due out in theaters on November 11; Ironheart will land on Disney+ in the fall of 2023. Director Ryan Coogler dedicated Black Panther: Wakanda Forever to the late Chadwick Boseman, stating 'We put our love for Chadwick into this film'.
Sharing the trailer, he recalled Boseman at a previous Comic Con reflecting: “Chadwick had these huge hands and he was just squeezing down on my shoulders. The long-awaited Black Panther 2 trailer has finally dropped, and it shows a ton of new MCU action, along with a huge character reveal.
This new sequel film is going to wrap up Phase 4 of the MCU, so expect a ton of cameos and knowledge to be dropped leading into the next slate of shows and films. We might be seeing the anti-hero Namor that feels he is owed the land of Wakanda for some reason. It would make sense for her and Shuri to know one another, and Shuri might help in the creation of her armor. Either way, we are excited that Marvel is finally bringing in the classic character. Another thing of note is Shuri is shown shaking hands with Riri Williams. Willaims is better known in the comics as Ironheart. She is incredibly smart in the same way that Shuri is, as she builds her own Iron Man armor. Shuri was supposed to be the frontrunner, but that might not be true now.

Tenoch Huerta revealed his thoughts on finally being announced as the MCU's Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Given Namor's powers and resources, the character could prove to be a valuable ally, similar to how Wakanda became a force to be reckoned with during Avengers: Infinity War. On top of that, Namor is also a member of the Illuminati alongside Doctor Strange, Iron Man, Reed Richards, Black Bolt, and Charles Xavier. is that, you know, for all the people involved and I think for the people in front of the screen, in the movies or their houses. While speaking with Access, Huerta revealed that his improvisation and his scenes with Letitia Wright's Shuri are his favorite parts about bringing Namor to life in the MCU sequel. Instead, Namor could end up becoming an anti-hero, thus allowing the character to develop in his future appearances. I want to be part of the inspiration for other kids, for other people. "It’s a big moment and it’s a perfect place to be introduced. It’s a wonderful experience to be here and to be part of this family.
