Today at Comic-Con, Dwayne Johnson & director Jaume Collet-Serra came out to tout their upcoming Warner Bros. film 'Black Adam.'

The movie star also unveiled the newest trailer for his upcoming superhero adventure as part of the Warner Bros. presentation.
Warner Bros. has several DC properties on deck in 2022, including the animated “DC League of Super-Pets” on July 29. “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” is currently slated to continue the Shazam storyline on Dec. 22. Now freed from his tomb, Black Adam is ready to unleash his form of justice on the modern world.

However, it’ll be the first of its kind since July. Dwayne Johnson is a star in the right package. Shazam: Fury of the Gods got a big trailer A) because it’s opening this Christmas and B) DC League of Super-Pets is an ideal spot for a theatrical placement for a theatrical trailer. That specific cause is why offhand, we’re not seeing Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse until next summer, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom until next March and even Puss In Boots: The Last Wish until this December. By default, Black Adam, a Black Adam origin story and a backdoor pilot for further adventures featuring the Justice Society of America, will be the first “big” four-quadrant, family-friendly live-action tentpole since Thor: Love and Thunder in early July. It will be the first non-R-rated mega-movie in 3.5 months. This could be a massive advantage for Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam when it opens on October 21. Black Adam got a panel because A) it’s their next movie and B) Dwayne Johnson cannot be denied. In a scenario that is neither “thing good” or “thing bad,” DC’ big SDCC panel was entirely about the two upcoming New Line Cinema-specific DC flicks opening in 2022.
Warner Bros. Black Adam — out October 21st — introduces a new generation of heroes in its latest trailer who don't seem to be any match for the movie's ...
Black Adam’s sure to have his reasons for killing all of the people that he does. During the Black Adam panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, star Dwayne Johnson emphasized that even though his character has no problem killing or maiming people who get in his way, he’s really more of an antihero than a proper villain. Black Adam’s latest trailer once again gives you the briefest of glimpses of the tragedy in Teth-Adam’s (Johnson) past that ultimately leads to his becoming a magically empowered superhuman somewhat similar (at least in power set and costume) to Shazam. Though Adam’s unable to save his family from a cruel fate in the distant past, in the modern day he uses his vast powers to exact brutal justice by doing things like knocking fighter jets out of the sky and attacking slick-looking people riding hover bikes.

for the upcoming "Shazam!" sequel, Levi's hero is in a funk. Both super-powered men bear the same lightning bolt on their uniforms, though Adam's is sullied by mud, dirt and inner turmoil. "I don't deserve these powers," he muses.

He also reiterated in no uncertain terms his goal, as both producer and star, is to “usher in a new era of the DC Universe.” And when asked whether Black Adam could take on Superman in battle, Johnson gave a similarly complicated answer: “It depends on who’s playing Superman.” What does this mean, particularly given the apparently unfounded rumor about Cavill’s Comic-Con appearance? When the system is broken and corrupt and you’re not able to protect the innocent, you need a character who will break the system.” He was joined by fellow superheroic cast members Aldis Hodge (Hawkman), Noah Centineo (Atom Smasher), and Quintessa Swindell (Cyclone). Black Adam director Jaume Collet-Serra provided tantalizing, if scant, details about what to expect ahead of its October 21 release: “I like movies with characters that operate in the gray area, with their own sense of justice and morality. So this feels like a place where I’m home.” Liu also magic-summoned a virtual message from Heln Mirren and Rachel Zegler. Mirren dubbed her character Hespera “a delightful baddy and badass,” adding with characteristic wit, “I had a lovely time kicking the shit out of [Levi].” Following the trailer presentation, a staff-wielding Lucy Liu emerged to tease her role as Kalypso, calling it “probably the most exciting thing in my career.

“To be a part of the DC universe and this world is the most exciting thing to happen to my career,” Liu said. She’s a delightful badass,” Mirren says of her character Hespera. “Zach, I had a marvelous time kicking the shit out of you. Being here now, being a woman of color and having this really wonderful career that I’ve had, it was an honor to be a part of something this special. “It’s a sequel now, we get more money and we spent it all,” he joked. Billy Batson, Shazam, loves his family, loves people,” Levi says of the new film and his character. This seemed like a dirty harry kind of character, in which the system is broken and corrupt, sometimes you need someone to bring the system down.”

Johnson said, "Our goal is to build out a new era of the DC universe with the Justice Society." That's not to say the Man of Steel won't be back, but we were denied a great SDCC moment in today's panel. Finally, the panel was wrapped up with a Black Adam trailer, which involved Pierce Brosnan’s Doctor Fate warning Johnson’s DC newcomer of the right path to walk down. He also mentioned Black Adam is a "Dirty Harry-like character" who doesn’t operate in black and white. First up at the panel was Shazam! as Zachary Levi took to the stage at Hall H to introduce some new teasers. The cast and crew of Shazam! kicked things off as we got our first trailer for the movie.

She filed a notice of appeal on July 21. The actor stars as Mera in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom opposite Jason Momoa. The film is scheduled to be released on March 17, 2023. Warner Bros made no presentations about Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash, which will hit the screens in 2023, as the studio continues to find itself in imbroglio over Miller and Heard's separate personal issues.

New footage from the upcoming anti-hero movie offers a look at the darker atmosphere of the film. This is further exasperated when his foster brothers and sisters also tap into the power of the gods that help Billy Batson become Shazam. This past weekend, DC Films held a panel at San Diego Comic-Con sharing what it has planned for fans.
The actor tackled the tough questions — like if his anti-hero could beat Superman and a fight, and if Kevin Hart is jealous of his DC role.
Hodge called getting the call from Johnson that he’d been cast “one of the best moments in my entire career.” He thought it was a prank call before finally believe it was Johnson on the line. It was a rare appearance for Johnson at Comic-Con. Despite his stature with the Comic-Con crowd, Johnson has only rarely promoted projects at the convention. When the system is broken and when the system is corrupt, you need someone to break the system down. “The DC Universe will never be the same again,” Johnson said to applause. He also shared his philosophy on the character to the Warner Bros./New Line production: “This seemed like a Dirty Harry-type of character. Collet-Serra revealed that he locked picture on the film last night and that the cast has seen it.
Viola Davis is also confirmed to once again play Amanda Waller in Black Adam.
Black Adam introduces the DC antihero in live-action, and Johnson has teased that it's the start of a series of movie appearances. There’s also heart in the movie and a sense of family in the movie." There were a few other nice moments from the panel, including when Hawkman actor Aldis Hodge said that when Johnson called him about the role and eventually welcomed him to Black Adam, his "brain exploded. I like movies with characters who work in a grey area with their own sense of justice and morality. Johnson quickly changed out of the costume and walked back on stage saying, "I heard Black Adam was here, that's so cool!" "This man was a slave thousands of years ago, and in our movie, he awakens in modern times and that’s something that’s unusual.
