Juventus returns to FIFA 23 with a significant change (JuveFC)

Juventus' deal with Konami means they have been named Piemonte Calcio in the latest editions of the FIFA games.

However, it will be different in the next edition of the game. It was trophyless in the last campaign, and that needs to change in this one. A report on Tuttomercatoweb claims their deal with Konami ends this season and their name and logo will return to the game.

FIFA 23 for PC will finally be brought in line with top-flight PS5/XBX ... (Rock Paper Shotgun)

EA have revealed that FIFA 23 on PC will feature the snazzy Hypermotion technology that current-gen console players have been able to enjoy for some time.

That seemed a bit odd due to the relative power of our favoured beige boxes compared to consoles, all things considered, but in previous years EA have said this was to keep the minimum specs low to encourage more people to play. The inclusion of Hypermotion2 means that the PC version of FIFA 23 will be in line with what players experience on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia. That’s good for more than one reason, because the new game will also allow crossplay between all current-gen platforms, PC and Stadia – just only in 1v1 mode. EA also confirmed that FIFA 23 would feature two officially licensed World Cups for the first time: World Cup Qatar 2022 and the Women’s World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023.

Complete FIFA 23 Reveal Trailer Breakdown (Game Rant)

The new FIFA 23 trailer brings hope and excitement to fans as it showcases changes and additions to gameplay, animations, stadiums, and game modes.

FIFA 23 needs to be the most successful title from EA Sports to prove that the company is more than capable of producing great soccer games, even though recent titles have not lived up to the hype. While game modes in recent FIFA titles have felt lackluster due to the repetitive process and lack of changes, fans were hoping that the trailer would bring news about additions to Career Mode and other popular game modes. With HyperMotion 2, the improved animations will also likely lead to better collision systems and more realistic ball physics, as this is something that is generally improved in every FIFA title. For the first time, it also heavily features female soccer players, possibly meaning that female leagues and game modes will be more abundant to give fans a chance to experience a side of soccer that has not been prevalent in gaming. With FIFA 23 holding such importance, there is a lot of hope that EA Sports will pull out all the stops to ensure that the final title in the FIFA franchise will be a memorable one. The FIFA 23 trailer is mainly a cinematic look at the upcoming game, with the commentary discussing all the changes and new additions.

EA announces the last-ever EA FIFA game and it's made me weirdly ... (PC Gamer)

Over the last year there's been some drama between videogame giant EA and FIFA, the world governing body for football, over the FIFA name.

This series has been around since I was a kid and, as something of a football nut, I've played countless iterations of it all the way from the Mega Drive's isometric sprites (and halfway line goals) to the incredibly detailed modern simulation it has become. The Hypermotion2 technology is also included in the PC version this time which is nice because, last time around, our monster rigs were not deemed powerful enough. All the usual features are included, and the game has a short early access period for EA Play members.

Russian Teams Won't Be In FIFA 23 (Kotaku)

And likely won't be in the game for the foreseeable future.

You might remember that Russia hosted the last World Cup, which took place nine years ago in 2018, and as such were given star billing in both the actual tournament and its accompanying video game. They’re not being missed in those tournaments, and they won’t be missed in this game, either. In the wake of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine earlier this year, publisher Electronic Arts decided to remove all Russian sides from FIFA 22.

FIFA 23: #SaveProClubs trends as fans are outraged with no cross ... (GiveMeSport)

Fans have been left outraged by EA as cross-play hasn't been included in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs, which has sparked a #SaveProClubs trend on Twitter.

“For a lot of people, you could have re-released FIFA 22, stuck a FIFA 23 logo on it, added cross-play into it, and you would more than likely have gotten a “free hit” year from the community. “Come out, give us an answer, and remember, some of us don’t buy your game every year for the Premium Gold FUT packs. “If not, you will begin to see the game mode collapse. We demand an explanation as to why you have yet again opted to overlook and bypass Pro Clubs from your cross-play game modes.” “This decision confirms to me that you either do not care about Pro Clubs or are so out of touch that you really don’t understand what players want. The trailer for the upcoming title was released yesterday at 5 pm and showcased many of the new features in the game.

FIFA 23 Won't Feature Russian Clubs or Teams (Comicbook.com)

FIFA 23 won't feature Russia in the game due to the ongoing war in Ukraine. FIFA has always been a huge international sports franchise.

"In line with our partners at FIFA and UEFA, EA Sports will not include the Russian national team or Russian clubs in FIFA 23." With the upcoming release of FIFA 23, EA has confirmed that it won't include the Russian national team or Russian clubs in the new game. Due to the war in Ukraine, a lot of companies, games, and products have been cutting ties with Russia as to not give them any visibility or support as the country has been causing an immense amount of damage to Ukraine. At the start of the war, film companies like Warner Bros. cut Russia off from new releases like The Batman and now, EA is chipping in as well.

FIFA 23 crossplay: Online multiplayer & cross-gen explained (Radio Times)

How does crossplay work in FIFA 23, and it is cross-gen to boot? Here's everything you need to know about cross-platform online multiplayer.

So, what's the deal with FIFA 23 crossplay? You can unsubscribe at any time. We've got more details on all that below. EA has confirmed on its official website that FIFA 23 crossplay will be available in these modes: "FUT Division Rivals (except Co-Op), FUT Champions, FUT Ultimate Online Draft, FUT Online Friendlies (except Co-Op), FUT Play a Friend, Online Friendlies, Online Seasons (except Co-Op Seasons) and the Virtual Bundesliga competitive game mode that is available to players based in Germany." And now, steps in that direction are finally being taken. There are a couple of bits of small print to be aware of here, though: crossplay will only work in FIFA 23's one-versus-one modes, and it will only connect players on the same generation of systems.
