MultiVersus: How To Train Perks (Looper)

The game's massive character roster that pulls from numerous Warner Brothers properties, its fun battle animations, its focus on team-oriented fighting, and ...

Most of the Perks on a given fighter's Character Mastery bar are designed to accommodate the fighting style that character was designed for. This gives the character access to all of the Perks that are found on other fighter's Character Mastery pages. In addition to all of the character-specific abilities that each fighter will have in the game, players will also be able to assign up to four Perks to each character. A fully leveled character will have access to two Signature Perks, one which is unlocked at level eight and another which is unlocked at level ten. Each character can equip one Signature Perk, which are unique abilities that are only available to them, and three universal Perks which are available to all characters. The game's massive character roster that pulls from numerous Warner Brothers properties, its fun battle animations, its focus on team-oriented fighting, and some pretty unique looking combat mechanics have all helped set it apart – not to mention the fact that it will be both free-to-play and cross-play.

MultiVersus wants you to spend nearly £100 on its skins alone (Metro)

The majority of MultiVersus' cosmetic content is locked behind paywalls, and it'll cost £100 just to get all the skins.

As of right now, though, we doubt MultiVersus will be the one to overturn the stigma free-to-play games have earned themselves. This price also doesn’t account for the characters (since you can unlock them for free) or other unlockables like ring out effects, announcer voices, and emotes, most of which are, again, Gleamium exclusive. The idea is that you’d only need to spend money on the one or two characters you actually want to play as. However, it seems a significant chunk of the game’s content is locked behind Gleamium, the premium currency, which you have to buy with real money. The rest require either Gleamium or battle pass progression. Out of the 17 skins available, only one of them can be obtained with gold.

MultiVersus: How to Get Early Access to the Open Beta (Comicbook.com)

It's drawn comparisons to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, naturally, but given the reception to it so far, it's already starting to set itself apart in some ways.

The main difference between those is simply the timing of the release, but the early access period also features a different preview rotation of characters compared to what we'll see in the full open beta. The open beta officially begins on July 26th, but it's available right now in an early access format. The beta is available in an early access format right now with players able to hop in right away assuming they participated in an earlier test or are willing to watch others play the game for a while.

MultiVersus: How to Unlock More Characters (Game Rant)

Multiversus gives players a variety of characters from various Warner Bros properties to pick from, though not all of them are unlocked at the start.

The Deluxe version is $60 and features 20 Character Unlock Tokens, 1,000 Gleamium, 1 Premium Battle Pass unlock as well as epic level cosmetics. In fact, Player First Games is using this open beta session as a soft launch for Multiversus as the studio isn't planning to change much of its core gameplay mechanics ahead of a full launch later this year. The closed alpha also showed off cosmetic and customization options earned from in-game currency as well as a battle pass, which follows suit for most free to play games.

Velma Might Be The Best Character In MultiVersus, WB's Smash ... (Kotaku)

The early-access open beta for the free-to-play brawler is underway, and it already has an unexpected standout.

That said, it takes a while to collect the needed evidence to make that call. Even with her limitations, Velma is that chick. One of the things that makes her stand out is the level of support provided and overall strength of her various abilities. The only drawback being cooldown timers that prevents Velma from spamming the better parts of her arsenal. Velma is one of the best characters in the game by a huge margin. Expect her to be rushed from the start. Seeing someone get scooped up and carried off the stage is as comical as it is effective. Velma is a force to be reckoned with in the right hands. By rapidly tapping the attack button you can send out her Supportive Words projectiles that seek out targeted friends and foes. If it lands on an ally, they’ll not only be healed but send out a stronger version of the beam. Synergizing one’s abilities with that of a partner to overcome the opposition. Derived from YouTuber Midya’s edit of an episode from Scooby-Doo! Legend of the Phantosaur—where a hypnotized Shaggy single handedly defeats a biker gang—it was a viral hit that some felt culminated in the creation of WB’s free-to-play brawler.

How to toast another player in MultiVersus (Upcomer)

Players can obtain and give out toast in MultiVersus to show good sportsmanship and complete one of the starter missions.

Players have to complete all of the starter missions before they can start working on the battle pass, so it is in every player’s best interest to learn how to toast as quickly as possible. There, they will have the option to give toast to the opponent by clicking a button above the opponent’s character. Players will not actually have the option to toast someone else after a single game in MultiVersus. Rather, they will have to play out a full best-of-three set.
