Arsenal face Premier League rivals Everton in their latest pre-season fixture of the summer.

Scroll down for all of our latest updates from the M&T Bank Stadium with the game due to kick-off at 12:00am UK Time. Cedric whips a ball into the box looking for Gabriel Jesus and he goes down after being nudged in the back. Arsenal ramping up the pressure here as Everton squander possession in a dangerous area, Gabriel Jesus seizes possession and forces a fine save from Pickford. Arsenal come so close to breaking the deadlock as Granit Xhaka hits the post from a corner and Gabriel Jesus can't follow up on the rebound. Poor defending from Everton at a corner and the ball falls to the Brazilian at the back post and he makes no mistake. It has been a good first-half for Arsenal and Gabriel Jesus in particular who has been excellent.

Obviously, it was a big moment for him to come in an Arsenal shirt in the States and play in front of the crowd and he did well. The way he has settled in, he’s an extraordinary character, a lot of personality and he’s great at what we want. But they are not just 9s, they have all the qualities for the way we play, they are fantastic. He has a lot of leadership skills, I can see straight away what he’s doing with the boys and he’s the type of guy that we want. He’s a real threat and this is what we need. So it’s what is available and what the team needs. But not on his own sometimes, but don’t close that door because Gabby in relation to what the opponent does in certain games we are going to have to use him in different positions. It depends, look at Harry Kane, look at Haaland. I think at the moment there are certain strikers that are available, they grow, they have their moments in European football. We were a threat all the time, we had a lot of bodies attacking. They are looking for him, he’s generating chances, good connections around specific spaces we want to exploit with him especially, and yeah, we’re really happy. We understood where the spaces were and the execution was really good. I think the first half we were really good, really intense.

Here we take a look at five moments you may have missed from Arsenal's 2-0 win over Everton in a pre-season friendly at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Then just before the break, Ben Godfrey left Gabriel Jesus in a heap following a strong tackle. Even though it was a friendly between Arsenal and Everton, the game had somewhat of a competitive edge to it. To be fair, he hasn't looked out of place so far as he impressed there against FC Nurnberg and after moving into that position in the second half against Everton threatened to score only to see his effort blocked by James Tarkowski.

LIVE Transfer Talk: Mourinho hoping to beat Inter and Napoli to sign ... (ESPN)

AS Roma are hoping to beat Serie A rivals Inter Milan and Napoli to Paulo Dybala's signature. Transfer Talk has the latest.

Calciomercato reports that, while the 23-year-old's existing contract is due to end in 2024, he's keen to renew, but only with an increase in salary. Chukwuemeka is entering the final year of his contract, which means Aston Villa face the prospect of losing him for nothing next summer if they don't tie him to a new deal. Juve could be able to tempt him to Turin for a fee of around €40-45m, with a percentage of any resale heading back to the Italian capital. Technical director Edu Gaspar is now working to finalise the deal, which hinges on being able to agree personal terms with the 25-year-old. ESPN previously reported the 24-year-old was keen on a move to Premier League with United his favoured destination. Francisco is the son of FC Porto coach Sergio Conceicao and made 39 league appearances since gaining promotion to the first team in February 2021. Barca coach Xavi is a big admirer of the former Bordeaux star. 17.00 BST: Round and round we go with the Frenkie De Jong to Manchester United saga. 20.09 BST: Burnley have rejected a proposal from Everton that would see attacker Maxwel Cornet move to Goodison Park on loan with an option to make the transfer permanent, the Sun writes. De Jong, 25, has been chased by United all summer, with the Red Devils prepared to wait until deadline day on Sept. 1 to get their man if necessary. Arsenal's Gabriel is also being considered, but a deal for the Brazilian would be similarly expensive. The club are growing increasingly confident that they can get him to join them.

Mikel Arteta has found a new contender for the defensive role to further ease fears over Kieran Tierney's injury troubles.

Nuno Tavares was brought in to provide competition and support for the Scotsman last summer, but he too has encountered his own challenges with consistency.
