But despite Yoo-hui’s claims to the contrary, it really does seem like this rivalry is over. And while Yoo-hui also goes down, the fact she had always wanted to see her illegitimate father’s ruin sugars the pill somewhat. With help from Ae-ran, who wants Hye-seung to veer away from Hye-seung for reasons we already know, the two are able to dig up information, and Hye-seung determines she wants the driver to be killed. Those shenanigans include Hyung-ju outing Yoo-hui for killing Nam-sik and trying to have Min-ji killed. In telling him precisely how she feels about him she almost kills him on the spot. The show’s still pretty new, but since it’s almost guaranteed to develop a vocal fanbase, the question of the show’s future is a relevant one. I might be in the minority there, but with most of the main plot wrapped up nicely, I see little reason to continue if it isn’t absolutely necessary (and no, financial viability doesn’t count as a necessity, artistically speaking.) Netflix’s latest binge-drop k-drama is the deeply melodramatic Remarriage & Desires, a soapy story of revenge that adheres closely to cliche but still delivers a pretty entertaining eight-episode outing.
