In a similar vein, the last post on the HungryGoWhere Malaysia Instagram account was in 2018. It was shut down last year in July, since movement restrictions thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic meant people aren’t visiting restaurants much, let alone using its service.

Founded in 2006 by Wong Hoong An, Dennis Goh and Tan Yung Yih, HungryGoWhere started as a food review site. It will also act as a “one-stop platform that explores the highways and byways of [Singapore’s] food scene through food reviews and recommendations, profile interviews and a behind-the-scenes look at the food we eat,” Grab noted. Grab Singapore on Wednesday announced that it has bought and relaunched food reviews and restaurant reservations site HungryGoWhere and its accompanying social media channels.
The renewed HungryGoWhere will focus on food reviews and recommendations and will be able to leverage Grab's data.
