The theme song is envisioned as a "rallying call for Singaporeans to come together, and encourages Singaporeans to unite and overcome". To allow more Singaporeans to participate in National Day festivities, a series of celebrations in the heartlands will also be held on Aug. 6 and 7, organised in partnership with the People's Association. The theme for this year's NDP is "Stronger Together, Majulah!" which calls for all Singaporeans to "forge ahead as a united and strong people towards a better future", said the organisers. Details on the heartland celebrations, fireworks and flypasts will be shared at a later date. There will also be fireworks at the parade venue and simultaneous fireworks displays in heartland areas on National Day.

On Aug 9, there will be a combined land, air and sea Total Defence Display at the float in tribute. Details for the balloting of tickets will be released later. Spectator stands last year were empty except for one section in the middle with 100 people, similar to in 2020.

The NDP 2022 Executive Committee is expecting celebrations to return to pre-Covid levels. And of course, to top it all off, fireworks. On Thursday (2 Jun), the NDP 2022 Executive Committee announced that this year’s event will be open to the public. According to the NDP website, ticket balloting details will be out soon. This year's National Day Parade song, composed by Don Richmond and performed by Taufik Batisah, is titled Stronger Together. Edwin Chan.

It will be followed by five live chapter performances and a film, which depict how Singapore emerges stronger from the challenges it has faced. There will also be simultaneous fireworks displays at selected heartland locations, for the third year in a row. These Heartland Celebrations, organised in partnership with the People’s Association, will comprise family-centric activities, exhibitions and performances. Details for the ticket application will be released in due time. Singaporeans can look forward to a combined air, land and sea Total Defence Display by the SAF and Home Team. As with previous years, the Red Lions, the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s State Flag Flypast and Salute to the Nation, along with performances completed by multimedia displays and fireworks will be showcased at NDP 2022. The NDP 2022 theme song, titled Stronger Together, is composed by Don Richmond and performed by Taufik Batisah. It is a rallying call for Singaporeans to come together and encourage each other to unite and overcome.
