'I love you all' - Jürgen Klopp's message to supporters (Liverpool FC)

Jürgen Klopp delivered a special thanks to Liverpool supporters for making Sunday's end-of-season parade such a powerful occasion.

What the boys did is unbelievable, what the coaches did is unbelievable. That’s the best sign you can get: you don’t have to win, you just need to put all that you have in, really throw everything on the pitch and the people of Liverpool love you. The concentration we kept up, the level we kept, unbelievable. I’m proud of the players but I’m proud of these people, to be honest. Without a shadow of a doubt, no club in the world – this world – that they lost the Champions League final the night before and the people arrive here in the shape they are, the mood they are. Yes, we won two competitions, great, but we didn’t win the last two – and these people don’t forget, they know exactly what a shift the boys put in.

Fans ran alongside the bus in scenes the city has not seen since before the pandemic. Children climbed bus stops, men climbed onto the Toby Carvery and others hired a cherry picker just to get a glimpse of their player, their winners. It was a memorable day - and the vast show of support sent a clear message to any critics who questioned why these joyous scenes were taking place.

Three things spotted during trophy parade as Liverpool get new ... (Liverpool.com)

Liverpool went ahead with a trophy parade to celebrate the two trophies won this season, with Jürgen Klopp playing a central part in the festivities.

This time around, it was Camila Cabello performing pre-match, but it is hard to imagine Liverpool taking on any of her songs in the same fashion. Sure enough, come the parade, it was Dua Lipa who dominated the playlist. Whenever things threatened to go slightly flat, Klopp was there, standing up and pumping his fist or waving around one of the pieces of silverware. It’s easy to forget now, but the love affair between Liverpool and Dua Lipa started at a losing Champions League final — also against Real Madrid. In the trophy-laden years since, One Kiss has been adopted as an unofficial anthem. Some of the players might still have felt somewhat deflated from Paris, but Klopp seemed genuinely determined to celebrate the achievements of the season. All things considered, the mood was as buoyant as could be hoped for, thanks in no small part to Jürgen Klopp.
