KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Zii Jia won the Thailand Open today after beating China's Li Shi Feng 17-21, 21-11, 23-21 in the men's singles final.

Apart from Zii Jia, only two other Malaysians, Yong Hock Kin (2001) and Hafiz Hashim (2005) had won the Thailand Open men's singles crown. It was Zii Jia's first win over 22-year Shi Feng, a former Youth Olympic champion.
