The Ferrari man continues to be the fastest in practice as he takes a clean sweep of all three sessions. Russell's time in P2 is short lived as the Red Bull man takes aim. The stewards have just announced they have launched an investigation for an incident in the pit lane. The Ferrari driver wastes no times in putting himself back on top of the time sheets after just three laps. Russell crosses the line and is the top of the table after the first run of Q2. This is not what the Spaniard would have wanted in his home race. And with the timer running out the Brit is unable to fly round again leaving him in P11 and knocked out. After a flying lap from Gasly, Alonso falls into the drop zone and is knocked out of Q1. The Red Bull man goes fastest early on in Q3 with a lap time of 1:19:073. Charles goes for a spin at the final corner of his flying lap and dives straight into the pits... The Ferrari man grabs his second pole in a row and picks up a full clean sweep after topping every practice session. But if they are looking to finish on the podium they will be made to work for it as Russell claimed P4 while Hamilton is two places behind in sixth.
