Everton 2-3 Brentford: Bees stage stunning fightback to deepen ... (Eurosport.com)

Brentford staged a stunning fightback to secure a 3-2 victory against Everton whose relegation fears were deepened at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Unbelievable! Rondon has been on the pitch for a matter of minutes and the frontman has been given a straight red card, Everton's second of the match! A corner is whipped into the near post, Wissa rises highest and flicks the ball up and over Pickford and into the far corner of the net. Brentford have been growing into the game and make their pressure tell with an equaliser which has gone down as an own goal by Coleman. Toney flashed the ball across goal and the chance seemed to have gone. Henry was energetic, working hard to get up and down the pitch and got his just deserves with the decisive goal. Everton have two games to secure their Premier League status, starting with the visit of Crystal Palace to Goodison Park on Thursday evening. Brentford refused to lie down and turned the game on its head with two quickfire goals in as many second half minutes.

He leapt out of a sea of blue to power a header into the top corner to complete the turnaround. That resulted in a Wissa cross from the left being diverted into his own net by Coleman’s flicked header to silence Goodison once more. Brentford played on for a period until Christian Eriksen kicked the ball out of play, much to the chagrin of Toney who gave his teammate some stern words of advice on the matter, while being pushed by Adoulaye Doucouré, causing a brief melee between the two sets of players. The winger dusted himself off to take the free-kick, whipping in a low cross to the front post for Richarlison to attack. The Brazil forward controlled the ball but had it whipped off his feet by teammate Anthony Gordon on the edge of the box, allowing him to jab a shot at goal which David Raya palmed up in the air for Richarlison to attack but he could only head wide. The supporters wanted the players to know the significance of survival and what the club means to them.

Everton vs Brentford LIVE - final score, goals, highlights and reaction (Liverpool Echo)

Everton are in Premier League action against Brentford this afternoon as Frank Lampard's side continue their survival bid.

Everton are far too deep and inviting Brentford pressure at the minute. The Blues need to lift themselves and fast here. Less than 30 minutes to go. If another goal comes here it will be for the visitors. They need to move up the pitch and look to hit Brentford on the counter. You can talk all you want about defensive errors for Brentford's goals at Goodison Park and you'd be absolutely right, to be fair. Frank Lampard urging his side to move up the pitch, but the Blues are struggling to get out at the minute. The Goodison crowd seems to be in shock at what they are witnessing. They simply haven’t got going in the second-half and no need to find a way back into the game. The Blues need to make more of their set-pieces. The Blues could have acted differently in every situation to keep the ball out of the back of the net. Everton talking point from Adam Jones after the 3-2 defeat against Brentford in the Premier League at Goodison Park.

Everton vs Brentford: Match Preview | Toffees Need to Make Home ... (Royal Blue Mersey)

The Blues follow on from Wednesday's tentative goalless draw at Watford with a return to Goodison Park, hosting a resurgent Brentford outfit in this ...

A cautious approach and an acceptance of a point at Watford was understandable considering Everton’s season-long poor away form, but back-to-back matches at Goodison across the next four days will decide the team’s fate. Two home games at Goodison we’re happy with that, of course ’cause that’s where we do feel strong, but we absolutely respect the opponents in both games” The minute we switch off or you stop doing the good things you were doing this game can punish you” Mason Holgate re-established a two-goal cushion eight minutes later and the Blues put the icing on the cake with a late fourth, a trademark Andros Townsend strike from range in added time. Fitted with a cardioverter-defibrillator implant, it is inspirational how he has been able to play again and how Brentford are reaping the benefits. The aura he possesses has certainly rubbed off on his teammates also. Lampard has confirmed that Fabian Delph will be an absentee for today’s match. Since Eriksen’s first start for the Bees, against Norwich City, his side have tasted victory in six of their nine matches. Their remarkable turnaround can largely be attributed to signing free agent Cristian Eriksen, on the final day of the winter transfer window. The former Spurs’ man’s set-piece delivery alone has had a major impact on his team’s uptick in form. 1-0 up at halftime, courtesy of Yerry Mina, Richarlison sent Everton two-up shortly after the restart, only for the home side to be immediately pegged back by an Ivan Toney penalty. Brentford are in a very different place than they were when they last visited Goodison, in an FA Cup Fourth round tie that happened to also be Lampard’s debut as Blues manager.

Everton v Brentford live stream: How to watch the Premier League ... (FourFourTwo)

Everton will be looking to boost their survival hopes when Brentford make the trip to Goodison Park for the final game of a busy Sunday afternoon in the ...

DAZN subscribers can watch every single Premier League game in 2021/22 – and it gets better. If you pick up a fuboTV subscription for the games not on Peacock Premium, you'll be able to watch every game. To get around that, all you have to do is get a Virtual Private Network (VPN), assuming it complies with your broadcaster’s T&Cs. A VPN creates a private connection between your device and t'internet, meaning the service can’t work out where you are and won't automatically block the service you've paid for. There was a time when Brentford were starting to look nervously over their shoulder, but Thomas Frank has done a superb job in pulling them clear of trouble in recent months. Two of their final three games this season are at Goodison, where they have been reasonably strong throughout the campaign: Everton sit 11th in the Premier League home table, but only Norwich have accrued fewer points on the road. But a win that afternoon kick-started a revival which has seen Frank Lampard’s side take seven points from the last nine on offer.

Ref Watch: Should Everton have had another penalty vs Brentford ... (Sky Sports)

Should Tottenham have been awarded their penalty for a handball by Burnley striker Ashley Barnes? Did Gabriel Jesus deserve a penalty when Kurt Zouma made ...

The directives this season is that if it's shoulder height or above and it's away from the body, then [it's] a penalty [and they have] been given all season. The connection is made because Zouma is trying to block the ball, Jesus is spinning his body round and he's already going backwards with his feet. When anybody pulls a shirt they are taking a massive risk, but the ref felt Ajer was being pulled as well. Ironically, if they go back and give the penalty, Branthwaite would have stayed on the field. I would suggest that if Michael Oliver gave this as a penalty, the VAR would go with him. And would it have meant Braithwaite remained on the pitch?
