Singtel Launches New Maritime Connectivity Service iShip (Via Satellite)

Singtel, one of Asia's largest telcos, is launching iShip, a platform to provide satellite-enabled connectivity and digital services for the maritime.

iShip’s integrated services for crew and fleet management are designed to give ship managers and owners greater flexibility and visibility of their resources and operations. “iShip was specifically designed to address these challenges and provide a versatile solution for shipping companies that are accelerating digital adoption and also have decarbonization and crew welfare high on their agenda. Singtel launches all-in-one platform for maritime sector (Singapore Business Review)

The first online platform providing satellite-enabled connectivity and digital services was launched to fast track the maritime sector's digital needs.

According to Singtel, nearly 90% of all goods are shipped through the maritime sector and cargo volume is seen to triple by 2050. Using iSHIP, customers will get their possible maritime digital services through one point of contact and 24/7 support by Singtel. This will be more efficient for ship owners and operators who need to liaise with multiple parties to procure connectivity and digital services. The first online platform providing satellite-enabled connectivity and digital services was launched to fast track the maritime sector’s digital needs as cargo volume is expected to triple in the next 28 years, telecommunications firm, Singtel, said.
