NBA Odds: 76ers vs. Heat Game 5 prediction, odds and pick - 5/10 ... (ClutchPoints)

The Philadelphia 76ers head back to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat in a crucial Game 5 of the teams' second-round series.

The 76ers also struggled on the road in the first round, going to overtime in their first game on the road against the Toronto Raptors and losing the second. The Heat were the best three-point shooting team in the NBA during the regular season, so it’s clear that those terrible numbers are an anomaly. The Heat only shot 35% from the field and 20% from three in Game 3, while shooting 46% overall and 20% on triples in Game 4. While the other questionable players on Miami will likely play, the weakness at point guard could hurt them here. Starting point guard Kyle Lowry will sit on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, meaning that Gabe Vincent will likely get the start. The Sixers should continue to play well offensively with their best player on the floor.

Why is Duncan Robinson not playing for Heat in NBA Playoffs ... (Sporting News)

After such a promising start to the 2022 NBA Playoffs, plenty of fans are wondering why Robinson isn't playing more. Staggering Robinson and Herro's minutes could make it easier to hide Robinson, though. Spoelstra's reticence to play Robinson is understandable. 2-10 Yes, you read that correctly — one minute in four games. 2-10

Gameday Rundown: HEAT vs. 76ers Game 6 (Heat.com)

Miami HEAT vs. Philadelphia 76ers Thursday, May 12 @ 7:30 PM Series Record: 3-2 Miami.

The last two games of the series were ripe for analysis with the complexion of the floor changing due to the return of Joel Embiid, but with this one there isn’t much meat on the bone. For the second-straight game, the Jimmy Butler kept the HEAT within striking distance, and for the second-straight game the Sixers had an answer for every run. A quick 7-0 burst to open the fourth – the pivot point of both Games 3 and 4 when Jimmy Butler had to sit – didn’t hurt either, but for the most part this was as steady and composed as the HEAT have been all season with a double-digit lead. Tough to say how much of this one will carry over to the rest of the series if and when both teams get whole, but tonight it was the 76ers spending the evening looking for answers. We’ll get into it more below, but so much of what the HEAT were able to do in those first two games has been rendered irrelevant. Philadelphia got the added boost of getting Joel Embiid – playing with an orbital bone fracture and a torn thumb ligament – back and won what was, to this point at least, the most important game in the series after a commanding 31-to-14 fourth quarter to make it 2-1 despite Jimmy Butler (33 points on 22 shots, brilliant again) doing all he could to keep Miami in the game.
