The broadcaster’s app sent out 23 push notifications within 20 minutes involving strange content like “hihi,” “testing,” “curvediscuss,” and “John Lee speaking to reporters” on Tuesday. The force was alerted of the incident and arrested the 27-year-old man for access to a computer with dishonest intent the same day (May 3). He was granted police bail and required to report back to the force in mid-May. Police have arrested a 27-year-old TVB employee who was said to be responsible for a series of more than 20 consecutive weird push notifications sent out via the television broadcaster’s mobile app three days ago.
