We already knew Dominion is set three years after 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, with the franchise’s resurrected dinosaurs having escaped to co-exist with humanity around the world. The new trailer offers some interesting new plot details about the latest entry in the Jurassic franchise. When Jurassic World: Dominion’s last trailer was released, my colleague Chaim Gartenberg boldly argued that he wasn’t at all scared by the prospect of a dino-infested future.
The rise of the dinosaurs in Jurassic World: Dominion answers an ominous question posed by Dr. Alan Grant in the original Jurassic Park.
Indeed, 65 million years of evolution allowed humans to spread to every corner of the world, but they also stripped human beings of the little feral strength they used to have before settling down in civilizations. The Jurassic World Dominion trailer promises to answer a question Alan Grant posed in the first Jurassic Park movie. By having the two species thrown into such a direct global conflict, Grant's biggest fears about the consequences of the initial Jurassic Park project have been fully realized.
Jurassic World: Dominion is just over a month away, and the latest IMAX poster puts a new spin on the classic Jurassic Park logo.
When it comes to dinosaurs, the Tyrannosaurus has been the go-to prehistoric beast of choice for many children and adults for decades. She has only been seen in a clip of the opening scene, which takes place at a drive-in movie theater, so seeing her as a prominent feature of the IMAX poster at least suggests that her role in Dominion is simply being held back for the movie’s release. Having become one of the most iconic and instantly recognized images of modern cinema, Jurassic World: Dominion has now literally brought that image to life by featuring a familiar-looking Rexy framed by a circular opening in the same pose and position as in the original Jurassic Park logo.

Universal releases four new Jurassic World Dominion photos, which include the reunion of Jurassic Park stars Jeff Goldblum, Sam Neill and Laura Dern.
Jurassic Park III is the shortest film in the franchise with a runtime of 92 minutes. The upcoming film is reportedly the longest Jurassic film yet with a runtime of just under 147 minutes. Dominion will explore whether humans can remain the apex predator in a world they now share with history's most fearsome creatures.
Jeff Golblum is back in Jurassic World: Dominion, but what does he think about his infamous shirtless scene?
Colin Trevorrow has long been assuring fans that the original Jurassic Park trio would have very large roles in Dominion. The trailers have definitely helped to support this, as Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern, and Sam Neill have had plenty of screen time in the marketing material. Jeff Goldblum’s Ian Malcolm had some of those most quotable bits of dialogue, although the shirtless scene might be his most iconic moment from the beloved blockbuster. As a reminder, you can see the latest trailer for the movie below, which looks like it’s going to end the franchise as we know it. Case in point: his tenure playing Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park franchise. The Independence Day actor was recently asked about his infamous shirtless scene, saying: Actor Jeff Goldblum is known for his charisma and personality, which is so often brought to his acting roles.

"There’s always this innate sense of wonderment or magic to his scores and I think that’s a big part of why people go to movies in general — that wonder. "It’s not just another big action [movie with] dinosaurs tearing everything apart — you feel for the beauty and majesty of the dinosaurs, and that’s thanks to John Williams." But they wanted to also sell the action and high-stakes of this movie in addition to getting the nostalgia for the original series." "I think what’s so enduring about this franchise is the music and the emotion that’s brought to these characters and the dinosaurs," Miller concludes. I get to see these dinosaurs and [hear] this voiceover and these characters with my music for the first time and also have the fan experience as well as the behind-the-scenes [experience] of working on it." "I did [it in the style] of how the first movie was advertised, which is family action/adventure — typical big, sweeping John Williams melodies.
