Zaha gets a second bite at it from a tighter angle, but the keeper stretches to kick that one away as well. Clyne fizzes a great throughball down the left for Olise, but a heavy touch takes it away from him before he can put in a cross. He has Schlupp ahead of him, but he knocks it straight out of play to big groans from the fans. The points are shared after a goalless draw between Crystal Palace and Leeds United. The hosts dominated the game, creating some great chances, but they just couldn't find a way through their opponents. His shot takes a deflection off Ayling, and it loops just wide of the far top corner. Leeds stay in 16th, and that point means they're now five points above Everton and the relegation zone.

Ayling with his millionth foul. The referee, who looks rather like The Wire's Jimmy McNulty, opts not to book him. 9:44PM. 87 mins: Crystal Palace 0 ...

Leeds lose it, Palace break, Ayling trips Zaha. A yellow for me, that. Toes it past the keeper but there's not quite enough on it and Leeds are able to hack it clear. Will we see a bit more quality in the second dig? A nice crossfield pass here, Raphinha picks it up in the inside right channel, cuts inside and tries to fire it left foot. Leeds are the first to show here. Booking for that, and then a booking for Ward as well for retaliating. It all made for a well-earned point for Leeds, even if they might have needed more. The arrival of Michael Olise helped in that regard and before long they were creating chances for Zaha — denied twice by Leeds goalkeeper Illan Meslier — and Conor Gallagher, who fired over from range. The scrappiness of the game did not suit Palace’s players, who created chances but never looked likely to show the ruthless edge that was required against a spirited Leeds backline. Such was the animosity that Vieira once accused Marsch of swaying the referees by “crying all week” in the build-up to the game. An ugly point, but a point nonetheless for a Leeds United team that remains a part of this relegation scrap whether they like it or not. The fixture list is not a source of encouragement for Leeds, who face Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea in their next three games.

Nathaniel Clyne's overlap and the subsequent cross is exactly what Vieira will want from him tonight. A series of fouls on Wilfried Zaha out wide sees plenty of free-kicks but no bookings. Palace a re really turning the screw now. Palace boss Patrick Vieira will be keen to avoid another first half like his side had at St James’ Park, where they struggled to match their hosts' intensity and repeatedly gave the ball away in poor positions. Referee Darren England is not a popular man right now. Leeds, meanwhile, head to south London on a four-game unbeaten run.

Next up for the Whites is a match with top of the table Manchester City, at Elland Road. A lively feel to the match continued. His low left-footed ball into the middle found Mateta in space, but the forward smashed it high over the bar. Little free-kicks were being awarded in all areas of the pitch which stopped any flow or rhythm that either team could attempt to get into. When the whistle went for the interval, no major chances had come at either end meaning each goalkeeper hadn’t really been tested either. Jack Harrison and Stuart Dallas had goal bound efforts well blocked, before Liam Cooper connected well with a Harrison corner only to see Vicente Guaita save his header.
