In theory, the Bulls should be able to score in this matchup. The Bucks should be heavily favored to win the series, but the Bulls are going to shoot better in Game 2 because it would be almost impossible for them not to. Neither team was on top of its game Sunday, but for the Bulls to cover the spread with their best players all shooting terribly from the field says a lot about what this series is ultimately going to look like. If the Bucks control the paint in this series, they win easily. Or will the Bulls even things up in Game 2? But the Bulls didn't go away quietly.

"Top of the key, around the free-throw line. "I think we've been in a lot of situations where we grab those rebounds or it goes our way," Holiday said. After the game, Budenholzer said Middleton suffered a MCL sprain and the team would know more about his status after a MRI on Thursday. The Bucks' last gasp came when Brook Lopez converted a three-point play with just under a minute remaining. DeRozan had 13 points in the quarter. To make matters worse for Milwaukee, Middleton hurt his left leg and went to the locker room with 6:49 remaining. They had three turnovers, a missed three-pointer and an errant jumper as the Bulls raced out to a 9-0 lead. The only highlight for Milwaukee in the first half was Antetokounmpo passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 1,692 points as the franchise’s career playoff leader. "Credit to Chicago," Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said. Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton combined for eight miscues in the first half. "We got to play better," Antetokounmpo said. I don't feel like we were enjoying the game as much as possible."

Bucks vs. Bulls NBA playoffs prediction: This is first-half bet to make (New York Post)

With Jrue Holliday locking down DeMar DeRozan, the Bucks should hold a strong first-half lead.

Despite the Bucks shooting just 10 of 38 (26.3 percent) from behind the arc and putting up an Offensive Rating of 93.5, the Bulls still couldn’t win Game 1. Antetokounmpo put up 27 points on 10 of 19 (52.6 percent) shooting along with 16 rebounds and three assists despite playing just 33 minutes due to foul trouble. Since then, the whole world has turned upside-down, and the Bulls still can’t find a way to defeat Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee Bucks: 3 bold predictions for Game 3 vs. Bulls in first ... (ClutchPoints)

The Milwaukee Bucks lost Khris Middleton and Game 2 against the Chicago Bulls. Here are our three bold predictions for the Game 3.

If they continue to take Holiday’s efficiency away, and Milwaukee struggles from the outside, I think the Bulls are going to take a 2-1 series lead. Chicago has been able to overcome the size deficit and at least hang with the Bucks on the glass. It’s not like the Bucks are loaded with shooters off the bench. The Bucks guard has hit only 12 of his 32 shots in the series thus far. That likely will force Holiday, who plays hard on both ends of the court, to have to play 35 to 40 minutes again. Jevon Carter is the only listed point guard on the depth chart. The biggest reason for the expected change though is on the other end of the court. Not to mention, Lopez has arguably been one of the worst defensive centers for years. Milwaukee does not have a true point guard on the bench. They also lost former All-Star forward Khris Middleton to a sprained MCL. Middleton has officially been ruled out for Games 3 and 4 in Chicago. The injury is likely to keep him out beyond that as well., as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski believes he will be out the rest of the series. The Bucks were struggling well before Middleton went down with the MCL sprain in the fourth quarter. That certainly complicates things for a Bucks squad looking to repeat as NBA Champions. Last year, the team was mostly healthy all the way through the playoffs.
