Singapore's nightlife sector allowed to fully reopen this month (NME.com)

The Singapore government has announced that the nightlife sector can fully reopen this month, subject to COVID-19 safety measures.

The news comes nearly two weeks after it was announced that live music would be allowed back in all venues in Singapore, including F&B establishments, from March 29. In January six music venues were approved to stage pilot concerts with full audience capacity and no social distancing. Clubgoers looking to dance will have to abide by several COVID-19 public health measures, however.

The authorities said enforcement actions will be taken under the Covid-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, and the business will be liable for the issuance of Notice of Composition (NOC) and closure order, in the event of breaches. The Covid-19 test will be valid for 24 hours from the time of the test result.
