In anger, Owens rolled to the outside and grabbed a chair. They battled in the ring, outside the ring, in the crowd, and on the entrance ramp. Night one didn't disappoint as the event closed with the legendary "Stone Cold" Steve Austin coming out of retirement to beat Kevin Owens in a no-holds-barred match.

Sunday night · World title unification match: Universal champion Roman Reigns vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar · Raw Tag Team Championships: RK-Bro (Matt Riddle & ...
WWE will surely want fans watching for the celebrity appearances to stay for the Lesnar-Reigns match, but that doesn't entirely explain it. Who knows if Brock Lesnar continues to be a regular character on television between now and the run-up to SummerSlam this summer. Multiple reports indicate that Cody Rhodes is soon to return to WWE. Would this be the time? Roman Reigns has firmly established himself as the top character in the business. The Monday Night Messiah fought for weeks on Raw trying to earn a spot in a WrestleMania match to no avail. All three tag teams are doing some of their best work. Each match has something or someone fans want to see. Lynch, as the Raw Women's Champion, has been really good as an arrogant character, while Belair continues to improve. But you'd like to see more substance in Sunday's undercard. Rousey surprised with her ring work during her first run, but she hasn't had an opportunity to show what she can do in a big match since her return in January after three years off. Ronda Rousey seems better on paper, but the two have had some awkward physical interactions leading into this weekend. Bianca Belair inside the ring.
WrestleMania season is here. World Wrestling Entertainment's biggest show of the year takes place this weekend at AT&T Stadium. And for the first time since ...
Why you should care: If you’re a fan of “Jackass,” this is the match for you. How we got here: McAfee, best known as the host of “The Pat McAfee Show” and one of commentators for “SmackDown,” hosted WWE owner Vince McMahon on his show on March 3. Why you should care: To be honest, this one’s a bit more difficult to figure out. Why you should care: Flair is consistently one of the best performers on the roster and she always ups her game at big pay-per-views. How we got here: Owens spent weeks disparaging the state of Texas and the retired WWE star who was born and raised there. Why you should care: In his prime, Austin was probably the most popular active pro wrestler ever. Why you should care: Belair is one of the most athletically gifted wrestlers in the women’s division. Who should win: If the speculation turns out to be true, then that person should win. Why you should care: The Usos are a fun tag team to watch. How we got here: Rousey made her return to the WWE at the Royal Rumble after a nearly three-year absence. Why you should care: The New Day is arguably one of the best tag teams of the last decade. How we got here: McIntyre was attacked backstage by Corbin and Madcap Moss at the Day 1 pay-per-view at the beginning of the year.
The reported main event will be the confrontation, fight, brawl, whatever you want to call it between Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin during a special ...

While Lesnar and Reigns will headline Night 2 of the show, Night 1 looks to be main-evented not by a match but by a segment. WWE is marketing the clash as the biggest WrestleMania match of all time.
Seven matches, highlighted by the biggest names in the women's division and a mystery competitor, will kick off WWE's two-night event.
WrestleMania 38 will also be aired on the big screen. Night one of WrestleMania 38 will be held on Saturday, April 2. In February, he left the company after his contract wasn't renewed. Similar to Owens, Rollins did not have a match for WrestleMania, but had been attempting weekly to get one. It can be live-streamed through Peacock, but you must have their premium or premium-plus subscription. The event, taking place at Texas' AT&T Stadium, will also continue the tradition that began at WrestleMania 36 in 2020 with the show on two consecutive nights, with a total of 14 matches split between the two nights.

WWE has gotten every last drop out of Cody Rhodes’ likely return to the company after the former All Elite Wrestling executive vice president was unable to come to terms with his former company. Becky Lynch will finally come face to face with Bianca Belair and truly have to answer for taking The EST’s championship in 26 seconds at last year’s SummerSlam. While another match may go on last at Night 1, this one is truly the main event because of the long-term storytelling. Rousey, who had her first child with husband Travis Browne in September, returned after nearly three years away from WWE to win the Royal Rumble in January and chose to go after Flair’s title – saying she was just the first. Lynch has done an excellent job as a heel after a stop-and-go start, really sealing it all with a promo two weeks ago on Raw talking about how she’s already sold her soul to remain Raw women’s champion for 600-plus days dating back to her pre-baby reign in 2019. Only one thing is certain about “Stone Cold” Steve Austin’s special appearance on the KO Show, it’s going to end with a beer toast and some drinking by The Rattlesnake – especially with his new Broken Skull lager in stores. WrestleMania will be a two-night event for the third straight year (April 2-3, 8 p.m., Peacock) and the first at full capacity since 2019.

Pick: Ronda Rousey wins the title -- Brookhouse Pick: Ronda Rousey wins the title Between E's injury, the sloppy inclusion of Butch, and the New Day reunion angle, all signs point to a fan-friendly victory for Kingston and Woods. Pick: The New Day wins -- Mahjouri It also wouldn't hurt Lynch to leave TV for a bit and retool her on-screen character because she's lost a lot of the magic that had made her such a force in the past. The only surprise here would be if Rollins' mystery opponent is not a returning Cody Rhodes. It will be, though, and with that in mind, there should be no mystery on the winner. There is no reality in the sprawling multiverse cruel enough to subject WWE fans to a Logan Paul victory at WrestleMania. Rey Mysterio is one of pro-wrestling and sports entertainment's most enduring good guys. Those two factors should be enough to say "The Mysterios get the win." It'd be easy to say the presence of Butch at ringside will tilt the scales the direction of Sheamus and Holland. But WrestleMania is generally about feel-good moments and putting the fan-favorite team over in an otherwise meaningless midcard match is a good play to continue that tradition. The Usos have been a fundamental component of SmackDown as record-setting SmackDown Tag Team champions alongside record-setting Universal champion Roman Reigns. Based on recent booking, the WWE seems to believe in Boogs (despite the team's presentation as somewhat of a comedy act). Nakamura is also coming off a recent Intercontinental title run and could be seen as a viable tag team champion. Nakamura and Boogs are an act WWE seems to like but it's hard to ignore that Nakamura had a recent 182-day run with the intercontinental championship and only defended the belt once between winning and losing the title. A feud with Corbin and Madcap Moss that has stretched on for months is, of course, a large step back from previous WrestleManias for McIntyre. Still, it's obvious WWE still sees him as a guy who belongs in the main event, so the Corbin rivalry has been a way to keep the Scot on television until it's time to be elevated again. The entire build to McIntyre vs.
Victories at WrestleMania can define a pro wrestler's career. So who will be leaving this year's version of WWE's biggest show with their hand held high?
Staszewski: RKO-Bro and Alpha Academy have both held the titles recently and a flip to The Street Profits is certainly a possibility. It’s time for the Phenomenal One to get himself back in the world title picture and this win sets him on that patch. He will find a way to pull out a match where he does most of the bump-taking and adds a WrestleMania win to his resume. Making this an “anything goes” match opened the door for this to not really be a wrestling match and Zayn is talented enough to talk away the loss. Instead the women’s tag division gets fresh young faces in fan favorites Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan. Pick: Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan Cue the beers, cue the toast and cue the logo on the bottom of the screen as everyone goes home happy. Carmella and Queen Zelina (c) vs. Pick: The Miz and Logan Paul The babyface Mysterios have gotten the best of the Miz and Paul so far in this feud. Staszewski: Ronda Rousey’s revenge tour and march to Becky Lynch needs to have a starting point and unfortunately for Flair it’s here. If Jimmy and Jey do lose, it would be to make things crumble a bit around cousin Roman Reigns before his match with Brock Lesnar. Pick: The Usos The Miz and Logan Paul vs.
WWE is billing Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns as “the biggest WrestleMania match in history” and that doesn't even seem like much of an exaggeration.
With Styles signing with WWE in 2016 and Edge coming out of retirement in ’20, the two will meet in a one-on-one match for the first time. Reigns is the focal point of WWE right now and is going to main event WrestleMania every year for the foreseeable future. The issues between Zayn and Knoxville began when Zayn took exception to Knoxville being an entrant in this year’s Royal Rumble match. The purpose of this match is just to get more people on the WrestleMania card. Following his appearance in the Royal Rumble, this will be Knoxville’s second-ever match. A finish where Heyman interferes, gets laid out with an F5 by Lesnar, and the distraction causes Reigns to win would make sense. As the babyface, Lesnar vanquishing Reigns and finally getting payback on Heyman is what would traditionally be the most logical outcome. It’s the two biggest stars in WWE right now facing off in a winner-take-all match to unify the WWE championship and universal championship. He defeated both Daniel Bryan and Edge in the main event of WrestleMania last year, stacking them on top of each other and pinning them at the same time. A pair of celebrities will also be in action on Night 2. The current babyface, cowboy hat-wearing version of Lesnar has been so much fun to watch, and Reigns and Paul Heyman are fantastic villains to oppose him. Lesnar and Reigns have been built up so strongly that it’s hard to see where either character goes if they lose this feud.

Boogs' right leg gave out as he tried to pick up Jey and Jimmy Uso, and him never returning even on the side of the ring indicated the injury was serious. The crowd was into it the entire match, but Belair hit the K. O.D. to pull off the victory and send the crowd into a frenzy. The Miz wound up getting the win for the duo, but Paul had some bright moments and certainly has a future in WWE should he wish to pursue one. It was much speculated, but the crowd erupted into a frenzy when Rhodes' music hit the speakers of AT&T Stadium and he walked down to the ring. The match had an electric feel to it from the start, and both superstars showcased why they are both two of the biggest names in the women's division. After the realization of Rhodes' return sunk in, the match between him and Rollins showed how Rhodes had made a name for himself.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will face off with Kevin Owens on Peacock, and Ronda Rousey is challenging for Charlotte Flair's SmackDown Women's Championship.
Miz then landed a Skull Crushing Finale on Rey for the win. The Mysterios hit stereo 619s on Paul. Rey went for the pin, but Miz bodyslammed Dominik onto Rey to breakup the pin. He landed a Frog Splash on Rey for a two count.
Cody Rhodes has crossed the line back to WWE. The former AEW executive vice president and a founding member of that company made good on significant ...
Rhodes was a two-time intercontinental champion and six-time tag team champion at the time of his original WWE departure. Early in the contest, Rhodes briefly exhibited Stardust's mannerisms, a figurative shedding of the skin of Rhodes' much-maligned gimmick prior to his WWE departure. Rhodes made his triumphant return using the same theme music and elaborate entrance he utilized in AEW.
In other matches, Charlotte Flair pinned Ronda Rousey to retain the SmackDown Women's title whereas Cody Rhodes made a return to WWE after six years and ...

This is the culmination of months of speculation that the second-generation superstar would be making his return to the WWE, where he worked from 2007-2016. Murmurs of friction between him and AEW President Tony Khan started to surface late last year and in February, Rhodes let his contract expire and departed from the company. Word immediately started to spread that he’d be WWE bound and would be working a Wrestlemania match with Seth Rollins. And now, we’re here.
Charlotte Flair is still your SmackDown Women's champion. Flair overcame Ronda Rousey in the penultimate segment presented on Night 1 of WWE WrestleMania 38 ...
Rousey returned in January from a three-year hiatus, winning the women's Royal Rumble match and locking in her spot at WrestleMania. She immediately entered a feud with Flair that culminated in Saturday's match. Rousey attempted to revive the referee, opening herself to a big boot from Flair that spelled doom for the ex-UFC star. Flair avoided or interrupted armbar and ankle locks from Rousey; meanwhile, Rousey becomes the first superstar to ever escape Flair's Figure Eight finishing maneuver.
Bianca Belair and Becky Lynch stole the show but Austin provided a lasting memory.
As a purely "special moment" that played to the fans and the "big moments" of WrestleMania, it was fantastic. As Rousey attempted to revive the referee, Flair hit her with a big boot to pick up the win. Flair blasted Rousey with a right forearm to the side of the head and locked in a variation of a dragon sleeper before an arm throw by Rousey and a knee to Flair's face for a near fall. Rousey finally locked in the ankle lock but Flair was able to escape the hold and nearly score a pin before Rousey countered with an armbar and pulled Flair face-first into the bottom turnbuckle. Rousey came back with fire, going at Flair with a big judo throw and then locking up a reverse triangle choke in the ropes before Flair was able to take over with an attack on the ring apron. Rousey again went for an armbar, setting up a scramble of reversals before Rousey was able to lock in the ankle lock again. The match became a war of convincing near falls, with Rollins hitting a pedigree and having Rhodes kick out before screaming that Rhodes was in his house and his company. Belair placed Lynch on her shoulders in a fireman's carry and took her to the second rope before dropping her on the top rope. Rhodes would respond by hitting Cross Rhodes twice before a bionic elbow and one final Cross Rhodes to pick up the win. The Guerreros responded by hitting Paul with a tandem 619 but they missed a blind tag by the Miz, who was able to sneak into the ring and hit a Skull-Crushing Finale on Rey to get the win. Lynch again went for the Manhandle Slam but Belair kicked off the turnbuckle into a backflip to escape before hitting the K.O.D. to get the win. Corbin was able to cut off the comeback fairly quickly when he scored a near fall off a Deep Six. Momentum continued to swing before McIntyre set up for the Claymore only for Moss to pull Corbin from the ring for the save.
Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match, and Cody Rhodes returned to the WWE.
The issue was the crowd didn't seem to know how to react. While she was distracted, Charlotte surprised her with the Big Boot for the win. First, she landed a Piper's Pit and the ref counted to 3, but rescinded the call after he noticed Charlotte had her foot on the ropes.

Boogs displayed his versatility both inside and outside the ring with his impressive guitar skills and display of strength by deadlifting Jey Uso to a vertical suplex position. Belair is a worthy heir to the throne, but could we see Rhea Ripley step up for a challenge in a display of strength for the belt? Then, Dominik countered with a Frog Splash of his own to setup up double 619's by The Mysterios. McIntyre, who just recently returned to action after recovering from a neck injury, finally connected with the Claymore on Corbin to earn the victory. Belair scrambled back into the ring at the count of 9, with Lynch ready to finish off the challenger. And credit to Flair, for being able to carry the match with impressive combinations and a constant ability to continue the trash talk throughout. In fact, the star of this match was the wickedness both were able to display both physically and emotionally. Belair looked doomed late in the match, as Lynch hit her with a Manhandle Slam on the steel steps, leaving her outside the ring and nearly counted out. Owens rallied, and found the opening to land his version of the Stunner on Stone Cold. Austin kicked out at the last second and Owens grabbed a chair. He had on his 3:16 tee, knee braces and of course took a ride to the ring on a four-wheeler. With Owens rattled, Austin landed his own Stunner to perfection and earned the win and a victory celebration complete with more beer. Compared with Belair-Lynch, the pacing of Rollins-Rhodes was slowed, but the drama remained high and tense.
Two of the top matches taking places will be Charlotte Flair defending the SmackDown Women's Title against Ronda Rousey. Rousey won the Royal Rumble this year ...
Dominik fought his way out eventually, getting the hot tag to his father and getting the crowd on their feet. The Miz and Logan Paul Paul then hit a frog-splash from the top rope for another near-fall. The match probably went a bit lot longer than it needed to and the crowd weren't really into it until the last couple of minutes. Paul hit a nice running powerslam on Dominik, before hitting a picture-perfect blockbuster from the second-rope. Logan got into the match early, throwing a few body shots at Rey in the corner. Drew recovered again, hit the Future Shock DDT and a Claymore for the pinfall victory. After the match, Drew used his big sword and chopped the ropes in half. Corbin hit the End Of Days, which has been the finish of his matches fo his whole career - but McIntyre became the first man to kick out of it!!! The Usos took control quickly after and while Nakamura was able to kick out of the superkick/splash combination, he couldn't stop the 1D and the champs retained. Solid match, but probably not the right choice to open a WrestleMania. Boogs looks to be seriously injured, with doctors surrounding him after the match. After a hyped-up Mark Wahlberg gave us a spine-tingling WrestleMania intro and the Dallas Cowboys cheergirls kicked off proceedings, Rick Boogs opened things up with his trademark intro for Shinsuke Nakamura. Pat McAfee was fired up as always.

* Raw Tag Team Championship: RK-Bro (c) vs. Liv for Brutality vs. Street Profits vs.
Everything you need to know ahead of the WWE WrestleMania Night 2 pay-per-view this Sunday.
As entertaining as RK-Bro is as an act, you get the sense that WWE is getting antsy to break them up for a less entertaining feud. I'll side with Edge, hesitantly, but am rather confident that this will be Match of the Night. Pick: Edge wins -- Mahjouri Reigns can get his win over Lesnar down the road in the inevitable fourth Lesnar vs. Alpha Academy should have been afforded the opportunity for a longer Raw Tag Team title run, but Orton and Riddle were quick to reclaim their crowns. McAfee is so beloved by fans that it's hard to see him losing to Austin Theory, who has plenty of time in his career to recover from a loss to a pro-athlete-turned-commentator. He won't have that benefit against fellow heavyweight Lashley. "The Almighty" is coming off a recent WWE championship reign, has a winning MMA record and muscles for days. Pick: Sasha Banks & Naomi win the titles -- Shakiel Mahjouri Lashley is returning from several months on the sidelines and his return should result in a win. If there's any out here, it may be in finding the cheapest way for Lashley to lose, which could come down to MVP turning on him and moving on to manage Omos. That would benefit the monster by giving him someone who can work the mic and extend the program with Lashley for a while. Zayn is exactly the right kind of heel to lose this match and have that loss be a benefit in building him up. You would hope that WWE would not go so far as to have a quality superstar like Zayn take the L for "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville. The no-disqualification stipulation should present opportunities for run-ins and fun stunts from other stars from the film franchise. It's undeniably the right move to have Knoxville get the win.
The show is headlined by a title unification match between WWE champion Brock Lesnar and universal champion Roman Reigns. While it seems logical that Reigns, ...
