At least three new Apple products could take the stage at the virtual event next week.
Apple has also said that demand for new chips it designed to act as the microprocessing brains for its iPads and Mac computers has consistently outstripped supply, with more than $12 billion in estimated pent-up demand in the past year. The company has said that customers have especially responded to 5G wireless internet upgrades in its iPhones over the past two years. Apple's invitation to the media, sent in an email, shows a rainbow Apple logo that gives the impression of movement across a black background. In June 2020, as the pandemic took hold, Apple transformed its Worldwide Developers Conference into a virtual event, with slickly edited videos replacing live presentations. Apple didn't say which products it plans to announce -- it almost never does -- but did include an augmented reality effect in its marketing page for the event that could hint at an aspect of the event. The company will show off the devices in an all-virtual event via a livestream on Apple's website.
It's official — Apple's doing a product launch event on Tuesday, March 8. The company sent out invitations bearing the phrase “Peek performance,” a Dad-Joke- ...
Everyone has assumed that a new Mac Pro would likely not appear until the end of the year, but maybe it’s ready now—or maybe Apple’s willing to give everyone a peek at the performance to come when the product ships later this year. Since new iPhone-class processors only really appear in the fall, this has to be a reference to Macs running Apple silicon. But, assuming the M2 was based on the same core technology as the A15 processor in the iPhone 13, we’d probably expect to see only a modest speed boost.
Apple announced its first event of 2022 today for March 8. The 'Peek performance' tagline already has people guessing...
Apple is also rumored to be planning an array of new Macs with Apple Silicon chips on the inside, two of which could be announced as soon as this March 8 event. “Peek” in this context could be viewed as a reference to Apple’s rumored mixed reality headset, but unless Apple has a major surprise in store, this seems unlikely. The obvious connection here is that “peek performance” is referring in one way or another to 5G connectivity.
The second-generation AirPods Pro will launch this year if rumors pan out, but it won't be at the upcoming event on Tuesday, March 8. The AirPods Pro have not ...
The other iMac in the lineup, the 27-inch iMac, continues to feature an almost 10-year old design, but Apple is rumored to be working on a new model expected to launch sometime in the summer. While Apple has been working on the headset for a considerable amount of time, rumors suggest this event won't be the time we'll hear about it. Next week's event is the first of the year, but it'll only check off a few rumored product announcements from the list for 2022.
Apple sent out invitations to the media for a launch event where it's expected to announce a new low-cost iPhone model.
Last year, the company held a spring event in April with new high-end iPads and the iMac computer. Apple's launch affairs have been virtual since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020. The event, with the tagline "Peek Performance," will be streamed digitally on YouTube and Apple's website.
From a colourful new MacBook Air to game-changing AirPods, there are lots of products we're really hoping to see. And then there are the almost sure bets, ...
But if rumours are to be believed, change could be in the Air in 2022. Bloomberg says the device will be similar in size to the Quest 2, and will be able to track hand movements for features such as a virtual keyboard. But if new leaks are to be believed, the Pros are next in line for a refresh. Not only that, but the design is set to change too, with rumours suggesting the iconic stem could soon disappear to make way for a more bud-like design. But once again, we're not expecting a new design – and that stunning LED display probably won't make its way from the Pro to the Air this time around. That edge-to-edge display and Apple Pencil 2 support brought the Air right up to date, and it could get even better this spring.
